Had to try Gideon’s viral cookies while visiting Orlando. Viral treats can sometimes be a hit or miss, so I didn’t have many expectations, but these cookies are worth the hype! I had an original cookie, while my dad got the toffee pistachio- he said it may be the best cookie he’s tasted in his life!

The first time I came here, I was honestly shocked by the line. I could literally not wrap my head around the fact people wait in line hours in any weather for cookies. Since we were new in the area, we decided to wait- safe to say, I see why people are willing to wait for these cookies. It’s such an experience and the cookies and coffees are SO good!

My favorite is the triple chocolate chip as I am a true chocoholic 🥳 Definitely a luxury item for the price, but well worth it as it’s two or three servings per cookie. I usually buy a box of six and take them home and store them in Ziploc bags individually. This keeps them nice and fresh. Since I am retired, I usually wait till the middle of the week to visit the Winter Park location. Weekends are totally nuts and parking is very limited.

These cookies are AMAZING. They do a themed cookie every month which is so fun - follow their IG to see what’s upcoming. This location is much less busy than the Disney location and the prices are slightly cheaper as well.

Highly recommend!!

Gideon’s is located in a shared space with other shops. During the short wait for my cookies I was able to grab a coffee from one vendor, and browse cute jewellery from another. The cookies were excellent- soft, flavourful, and in my honest opinion, better than Crumbl. The service was fast and the bakery section looked clean. I would definitely come back.

I’ve been here several times and I am a fan of trying their cakes. Today’s service was wonderful. The woman who served me was personable and charismatic. The Hot Cocoa Cake was everything I wanted out of it too. I’m happy I had the opportunity to try it. I’m in the area twice a week so when the opportunity arises I like to see if a cake slice flavor that I’ve been “chasing” is available that day. Next one to try will be the Churro Cake. I’ll get it one day! lol. I visit the East End Market.

The audacity of selling cookie dough with toppings and passing it as cookies. Do not recommend if you like cookies

The decor & ambiance is awesome. There’s a spooky vibe that reminded me of Harry Potter or Edgar Allen Poe. However, we weren’t fans of the cookies. We purchased the triple chocolate chip, original chocolate chip, and banana bread chocolate chip, and a classic cold brew coffee. The banana bread was the best of the 3, but they all tasted pretty much the same - sickeningly sweet. The triple chocolate chip was gross. They’re all COVERED in chips so that’s all you taste. When you order cold brew, you expect a bit of a bitter taste but even that was insanely sweet. None of us could finish it. After a few bites we ended up trashing everything except the banana bread cookie. After waiting in line for an hour, this was a disappointing experience.

Polite staff and really cool market. I was just disappointed about the cookies, since they’re really famous… I really couldn’t taste anything but the chocolate chips and it was so very chunky, felt like a bit raw too… Just not my style but everything is very high quality you can tell!

Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs is a perfect example of marketing outweighing the actual product. The vibes, the aesthetic, the merch, and the whole elusive “you have to wait to get in” experience are executed flawlessly. It builds so much excitement that by the time you’ve waited over an hour to pay $6+ for a cookie, you expect something truly special. Unfortunately, the cookies just don’t live up to the hype.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but they didn’t really eat like cookies. I usually love a doughy, chewy cookie, but these were more like dense cake pops or blondies than actual cookies. I tried the coffee cake cookie, banana bread cookie, and the original chocolate chip, and they were all the same—huge, heavy, and doughy in a way that felt more cake-like than cookie. You’d get more flavor eating a fistful of chocolate chips.

Another letdown was the merchandise. Part of the appeal is the branding, but you can barely see any of it. The T-shirts, stickers, and other merch were just piled near the register, making it hard to browse or even notice what was available.

The cold brew “the classic way” was also disappointing—it tasted mostly like overly sweet oat milk rather than coffee.

The one bright spot was the staff; everyone working there was genuinely kind and friendly.

Overall, I wouldn’t go back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone wait in that long line. The experience and marketing are top-tier, but the cookies themselves are mediocre and simply not worth the wait.

For the cookie monster in all of us!!! This place is amazing the selection of cookies and flavors is off the chain. Be prepared to wait in line but it will be well worth it 👍💯😉

Cookies are delicious, well worth the price - you won't finish one in a single sitting!

Tends to be very busy and cramped since it's in east end market, depending on when you go, but that's no fault of theirs.
