Well, according to the lovely readers of Orlando Weekly, Gringos Locos has this year's best nachos in town. Nacho making, as we all know, is an art form. Their quality varies greatly depending on how skillfully you build them.

Place was delicious, got the pork burrito and sampled one of the chefs plate tacos. Both were ?
I tried the beef empanadas and the beef double d taco. The empanadas were great, and I do appreciate the amount of meat that was in the taco however, the double d was in my opion the worst taco ive ever tried to eat. Im sure theres plenty of people who would like it and I do like the concept of the hard and soft taco shell. What I did not like was the beef tasted sweet, not spiced wich was offputting, followed by whatever sauce was between the taco shells being nothing short of disgusting. Everyone else in my group loved them, but I couldnt get past the unpleasant blend of textures plus the sweet beef. If the sauce were replaced with just cheddar/mexican blend cheese instead of something creamy it likely would have palletable.

Excellent food and even better prices. Portions are definitely filling. The catfish and grits was great. Our server was really friendly and attentive and our meals were served to us fairly quickly.

Maybe I’m missing something but this place is extremely overhyped.. I got a few different tacos and although they weren’t bad they definitely weren’t anything special and VERY overpriced for the small taco that you get.
