Holy delicious and well worth the wait!! It's easy to see why this smaller local spot it such a hit! We headed in here from word of mouth recommendations by fellow foodies. There was a line to be seated. You check yourself in on the clipboard by putting your name and there number of people in your party. When tables open up the staff checks the board and works to seat you. It took about twenty minutes. We reviewed the menu while we waited so we could order right away to kill any more wait timeOnce seated we were greeted quickly and placed our orders. There is definitely plenty on the menu that was of interest to both of us but we heard tons of suggestions for mofongo so he ordered that. I had chicken and rice, my go to style of meal.Everything was perfect. The food was flavorful and called perfectly. The attached was really friendly and pretty efficient at moving orders through. The space is tight for seating and crowdedness. If you're not into sitting there you can always grab an order to go and enjoy in your home!!Overall: A+Delicious food with tons of flavor and made really well. Staff is friendly and quick. Be ready to wait!
Food was great and the service also, the mofongo wasn't "stuffed" like its supposed to be.Found it kind of pricey this time around. The Red Snapper was delicious all the way around! Was surprised with the soda, always served "fountain soda" but this time they just brought a can. Maybe because of the pandemic. Overall it was good.
Good food, Great service. Their Mofongo is a little Dry, but overall still good.
This was my favorite puertorican restaurant the old management seems like they left..Since Jorge left the place has not been the same. Food don’t taste as good as it was and the menu has also changed very sad..? my family and I tried it three times and still was not good. We been coming here since they opened but won’t be coming back.
Amazing service. Not 5 stars bc my pastel had no flavor whatsoever. That's exactly what I was craving too..
Currently under renovation. Still following physical distancing. Great service.
The employees were great, very helpful, well spoken in spanish and english, and to top it off the food was great. Reminded me of home !
I love their food. Authentic food from Puerto Rico and it's the closest to my grandmother cooking. The wait is a little long and the space a little tight but it is all so worth it. Yummy yummy yummy the dessert can be better but I don't need dessert just awesome food with lots of flavor.
The Mofongo is super delicious! Staff was awesome too. Highly recommended
The BEST morcilla in Orlando! This place is a hidden gem! The waitresses were all super friendly and fun. My plate was pretty small but the flavor of the sausage was so delicious that I'll take the bad with the good.
Restaurantji Recommends
I ordered a trifongo with pollo al ajillo. Demasiado de bueno! Portions are very generous. First-class chef. Our server Janel was very attentive and professional. The restaurant could use a face-lift though. 5 stars for the food and service; 4 for ambiance. We will be back!
The service is amazing, waitresses are so nice and attentive. Not to mention the food my husband and I ordered was delicious! I recommend any of their mofongos they are so filling and tasty. Its my new favorite spot and I will definitely be coming back
The service is great and the food is amazing. If you want authentic Puerto Rican food you must come to eat here. I recommend the mofongo with chicken and garlic sauce. It's delicious! We travel a bit to eat here but it is worth the trip.
My husband and I always look at reviews before we ever try somewhere new, and we kept seeing how good the mofongo was. The reviews were not lying, IT IS AMAZING. I had the mofongo de churrasco and my husband tried the mofongo de pernil and we loved it. Not to mention the waitresses are so kind and welcoming, we are already planning our next trip to Orlando so we can come back to Guavate!!
I didn't expect to see such a huge Mofongo!! Busy authentic Puerto Rican feeling to the place. Friendly service. Wasn't disappointed. Rice and beans like abuelita's !!
