I’d been searching for Japanese Breakfast ever since visiting Japan, and it just didn’t exist in Orlando. Until now! The Japanese breakfast set was delicious and presented so beautifully, even with a little hidden Mickey! The service was great, Violet was so kind and enjoyable. The atmosphere was a little busy because it was a Saturday morning, and yes they do an hour for you to eat, but if you arrive on time it’s not a hurry, I didn’t feel rushed at all. I would definitely come back!

We went here on a date and it is perfect very intimate. We both ordered the Surf n Turf meal and I feel like it was the perfect way to experience Gyukatsu Rose.

Those katsu with rare cooked meat inside looks good on pictures, but I think fully cooked typical katsu is actually much more tasty.

Food is excellent, better than in most gyukatsu in Japan but the service ruins the experience. We felt extremely rushed. Once we sat they immediately told us we had only an hour to eat. We got some reminder like « only 15 minutes left ». Stuff removed from our plates even if we are not done, credit card terminal even if I’m done eating, ….
You’re pressuring me to finish eating but you don’t do your job to refill my water or making sure there’s still fire on my grill…
I can’t recommend going there due to the service.

Perfect date spot. If you order sake, you get to pick your own unique cup to use!

The most disrespectful and rudest restaurant staff I ever encountered in my life. My family and I stood to be seated only to be completely ignored by the staff 3 times in 10 minutes. They just walked by us like we were ghosts and they weren’t even busy! We were shocked and just walked away.

The food was STELLAR. The Wagyu was extremely tender and melted like butter on my tongue. The flavors mixed so extremely well, the sauces were wonderful and the sake was the cherry on top.

The katsu curry was also just exceptionally made. If you go, do yourself a favor and get both. We live around 3 hours south in Jupiter and we will be back this year just to eat here again.

If you aren’t a fan of cooking your own food. This isn’t the restaurant for you imho.

One of the best dinners I’ve had in a very long time. I brought my friend here for her birthday and ordered the surf and turf, I love having variety when I eat out so this meal was perfect. The Wagyu, the maguro, the cabbage slaw paired with an amazing sesame dressing, the potato salad, the rice, the pickled bok choy, the soup - so filling and delicious while still being reasonably priced. You can’t end your meal without trying their dessert, the matcha ice cream brûlée. I’m not a big matcha person and I’m a dessert chef so unfortunately I have high standards when it comes to sweets but my god this is the first dessert in a long time to leave a lasting impression. The lightly flavored matcha ice cream, the dense chocolate cake on the bottom and the crisp brûléed sugar topped with a perfectly balanced pinch of salt, I can’t stop thinking about it honestly and I can’t wait to come back.

I got the beef and fish set. The portion size is satisfying for just the single set but I got extra out of curiosity and because it was so savory and melts in your mouth that I had to try more. The side sauces were so good, I wish they sold them separately. Would absolutely go back.

This place is ridiculous they give you a ton of rice you might as well bring your own sauce and when you asked for s sauce they charge you extra so you’re paying already $30 for a couple ounces of Lego and rice and cabbage and the service is awful I Say if you want dry rice and some cabbage shredded this is the place for you and dry rice

Had the Maguro Katsu and the tuna was incredibly smooth, the pepper relish heightened the flavor of the fish. The salad dressing was really nice and the soup had great depth of flavor.

Got to try the wagyu from my husband's order and it was really nice as well. Looking forward to trying the curry next time we come in.

Steven was very helpful, great customer service.

Incredible food, atmosphere, and people! Got the surf & turf and both the wagyu and tuna were tender and flavorful. Loved the side dishes and sauces, everything had a really nice and complementary flavor! Their matcha brûlée was the perfect way to end the meal and probably our favorite dessert of the trip!

Our only other experience with gyukatsu has been in Japan and this definitely compared in quality and taste, we will definitely be coming back whenever we are back in town.

Carla & Violet were super thoughtful and attentive and made the experience unforgettable!

We’ve been big fans of Domu for a while so we were excited to try Gyukatsu Rose, and we were not disappointed. You can’t go wrong here - I got the wagyu and my fiancé got the surf n turf, and both were delicious. It’s really fun to cook each slice yourself and then accent with the provided seasonings and sauces. The sides are also delicious - I will be thinking about the soup, which is so flavorful and light, for a while - it was the perfect accent to the meal. I also got the house sake with sparkling soda - a fantastic deal I think - and the matcha ice cream brûlée dessert, which you cannot skip. Service was wonderful - the two waiters were so attentive and personable, I want to come back just to see them again! We thought the whole experience and meal was a great value for the price. The experience also felt so cozy - almost everything in East End Market was closed by this time, so we and the other diners were the only ones there, which was really fun. All in all, another fantastic spot that has earned its own unique place in a wonderful Orlando dining scene.
