HAPPY SNAPPER SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

Stopped for late lunch on a Wednesday and we had the place to ourselves! Server was very nice and the food was excellent. We had a grouper sandwich and snapper fillet. Both cooked perfectly, not over salted or over spiced. Could really enjoy the fresh fish. A bit pricey, but everywhere is these days. Would recommend for casual dining and would go back.

Stopped in after reading about Happy Snapper is “Florida’s Top-Rated Seafood Restuarant” according to an online Yelp article. I had the salmon burger and fries and was very happy with that choice. I’ll be back there for sure!!

Little hidden gem. I love grouper and when I make it to Florida I have to get a sandwich. In Orlando area it is not as easy to find a fresh one. The sandwich here ranks at top of list for my favorite grouper sandwich. It was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Not too much but right on the money. Service was great.

If you're ever near the south side of Orange Ave., Happy Snapper is a cozy spot worth checking out. It's a small but inviting place with a nice seating area, perfect for a casual bite. Our server was friendly but could have offered a bit more guidance, like asking if it was our first visit or explaining the menu in more detail. We did feel a little rushed, though.

I went for the Blackened Salmon, which came with two sides. The salmon was flavorful and perfectly cooked, definitely a solid 4/5. The rice was just okay, but the broccoli—wow! It was absolutely delicious. My mom had the fried rice with shrimp and opted for the sauce on the side. She thought it was decent, but nothing to write home about.

A heads-up for those ordering crab legs: everything is market price, and sides are sold separately, a la carte.

Overall, it's a good spot, but next time, I’ll skip the white rice and stick with the broccoli!

We drove from Cabana Bay resort to this small Family Business, so the service was great and the care in the food preparation was obvious: from the presentation on the plate to the delicious taste… not over seasoned. We had shrimp cocktail, a whole red snapper and a snapper fillet , salad and steamed veggies with the whole fish( there were other choices on the sides too) and dill sliced potatoes and steamed veggies. It look like I liked my plate it was so clean… price was reasonable too
P.S. We And carrot cake for dessert and it was So flavorful, carrot cake with cream cheese between layers and whipped cream on the side.

The staff was super sweet but I'm sorry this place is a hard pass. The food was not great. And the restaurant was tiny and just bad.
