During our recent visit to Orlando, we stayed at our usual go-to property, the Marriott, and decided to stop by High Velocity Sports Bar. We’re so glad we did.
We had the pleasure of being served by Chris, who gave us an outstanding experience from start to finish. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely professional. Our food came out delicious, and the margaritas and other drinks were perfect.
Partway through our meal, Kelly, the manager, stopped by to check on us. She was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel truly taken care of. Between Chris’s service and Kelly’s hospitality, we couldn’t have asked for a better visit.
High Velocity impressed us during our stay at this Marriott, and this visit was no exception. We’ll definitely be back.

High Velocity at the Marriott Orlando World Center is a standout spot and easily one of the best places to relax on the entire property. One thing that immediately sets it apart from everywhere else in the resort: it’s the only place that serves beer on tap. If you enjoy a fresh draft, this alone makes it worth the visit.
The atmosphere is energetic without being overwhelming—big TVs everywhere, a modern sports-bar feel, and plenty of comfortable seating. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in to watch a game, catch up with friends, or just wind down after a long day at a conference or event. It has that kind of warm, social vibe where conversations naturally happen.
The drink selection is solid, and the draft beers are cold, clean, and well-poured. While the food isn’t the highlight of the experience, it’s good enough to pair well with the drinks and the overall atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive—staff checked in regularly without hovering, and everything came out quickly despite the crowd.
Prices are what you’d expect at a resort bar, but the atmosphere, the tap options, and the overall experience make it feel worth it.
If you’re staying at the Marriott Orlando World Center and want a fun place to watch a game, grab a drink, or meet new people, High Velocity is absolutely the go-to spot. Highly recommended.

I tried this place because it was the only restaurant in the hotel that was open and didn't have a huge wait time when I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised. It's located in the hotel so it's only a short walk away. They have standard bar-fare like wings and burgers but they also have healthy options. I opted for a salad topped with Mahi and a side of Steamed Asparagus (I didn't see this listed as a menu option on their website but it was in the sides section on the paper menu.) Everything was very good and fresh. The closest thing I could compare it to was a Buffalo Wild Wings in terms of ambiance. You can talk comfortably it's just a little loud. The prices are kind of steep, which is to be expected in a hotel restaurant. I paid $33 before tip for just the salad and the asparagus with only water as a beverage. So, do be prepared for that if you choose to dine here. I will say that the waiter was very attentive and remembered me from earlier in the week the second time I came here. I would recommend this if you are staying here and prefer not driving anywhere.

I recently dined at High Velocity and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was impeccable; our server was Diahana and she was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations that truly enhanced our experience.
The food was nothing short of fantastic! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We went in with a party of 13 and everything came out perfect and quick. We’ll be back every time we’re at the Marriott.

We got the pretzel for an appetizer. It was excellent. The mustard and pimento cheese were great dipping sauces. I had the shaved beef sandwich with fries for an entree. It was all delicious.
Service was fast and friendly. I’m sure this won’t be the last time we eat there during this trip.

We recently dined here while we were staying on property for a conference. Our server was OK. He looked like he would rather be somewhere else than waiting tables. I shared that I had an allergy and he seemed less than concerned, which in turn concerned me. I did not feel like a valued customer. I did like the atmosphere and how laid-back it was. The food was really good and quick to arrive. I did not have any allergy reactions so my server did come through on that one. Would I return here? Probably not.

Frank kicked us out of a table stating we can’t sit there after another server sat us at that table. Editing because as I sit here I still can’t believe that this is acceptable at a Marriott property.

We took out salmon from here up to our room last night and we were frankly quite worried. It looked pretty bad. Looks were deceiving - it was flaky, moist and has the most perfect glaze that had a little crunch. Hope the same chef will be there tonight! The potatoes weren’t very good and the asparagus too but I am pretty picky lol

Ordered 4 saucy chicken tenders and loaded mashed potatoes .
$25.56 total.
Bland powdered mashed potatoes in a tiny portion. Additional $3.00 up charge to the A La Carte $6.00 side.
For the same price , I think if a fresh loaded baked potato at pappadequx which has premium applewood smoked candied bacon , fresh whipped butter, sour cream, ( unlike high velocity’s bland 4 oz portion )
I the 4 chicken tenders tasted like mass produced kid’s food bundle quality tenders . Not hand battered or spiced. $15.00 essentially for sub par quality and processed meat.
Server Anna was good. She did her job.
Overall , it was a very disappointing experience. I would have rather had a bowl of cornflakes.

I was expecting the typical sports bar menu when I arrived but was surprised to see that they also have some non typical menu items. They blackened fish sandwich was good but could have been better with a different sauce. The coconut shrimp was good but would also have been better with a different sauce. The brownie sundae was not worth the money.

Should be called Low Velocity in my opinion. To be in the world’s largest Marriott I was expecting a great experience but that wasn’t the case. Food was not good, unappealing, and tasteless. I got the smokehouse burger with fries. Took two bites and couldn’t finish the rest. The fries were not fresh and hard as a rock. Our waiter seemed to be in frazzled and overwhelmed. I was expecting better service than this.

High Velocity at The Marriott World Center is a must when in the Orlando area! Outstanding service, awesome food and great atmosphere! The restaurant manager Kelly King was fantastic and ensured our dining experience was perfect! Kelly is very passionate for the food and beverage industry, and takes pride in leading the staff and the restaurant!

Turn up and sit down on an EMPTY / UNRESERVED table; 6 people ready to order.
Server tells us to leave as the table ‘is booked’. No it isn’t.
If the food is as bad as the place is run, I wouldn’t go anywhere near.
