Honestly so disappointed. Fast food level gyoza and bao. Rooftop closed and honestly it looks like it’s been closed so they’ll could’ve said something on open table. Overpriced. Sake flight tasted like they poured 3 of the same things and our server didn’t explain which one was which so we just guessed. Server basically was never around. Overall I thought this was going to be a really nice place to go for my boyfriend’s birthday but it was just over hyped and I’ve worked in the industry for 15 years and I left 20% so trust me when I say I’m not just a mad customer reviewing this. It’s actually not good at all.

Staff exceptional, food AMAZING. We were there to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. At one point during the evening, a couple of gentlemen were sitting at the bar watching a game and whooping and loudly clapping... needless to say that particular moment dampened the mood. However, a quiet word with our waitress Krista who spoke with the Manager Daniel. Daniel spoke with the gentlemen and then came over to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. This is the second time we have been to Illume and definitely won't be our last. Thank you to the staff and chef. Regards Lorraine Riley.

Illume is always absolutely phenomenal! I’ve had the pleasure of spending a couple birthdays here, the food is always delicious and the drinks are spectacular!! The service is the star of the show; Emily is so kind and attentive we so appreciate having her as our server, she is truly the BEST! Luis, Phil and Alex have also been wonderful. Illume has a great team and environment, grateful for the meals we’ve been able to have here.

SHAMEFUL “service”. We were embarrassed by server Emely in front of our entire group of about 15 pp in addition to 2 customers who were sitting behind us after having asked for a separate bill for 3 of us. Not only did she declined & said they couldn’t split the bill, she also said the bill must be split evenly amongst everyone & without prior notification. I checked the menu to ensure the policy was written on it & it was not (picture attached). My entire group noticed the rudeness of her loud interaction & even suggested I report the incident to the manager who by the way, never appeared after I requested to speak to him or her. The prices certainly don’t match the extra substandard “service”. Will never return. Thumbs way down!

The food and service is superb at Illume - think the folks at Michelin need to come back and have a taste at this restaurant. If you are near Orlando on a Sunday, reserve the Omakase. It is absolutely spectacular. We had entry before the restaurant opened and seats at the sushi bar. It is amazing experience and an excellent standalone restaurant, but is by far the best on the JW Marriott Bonnet Creak property. My husband is not a huge fan of sushi and sashimi, he enjoys it from time to time, but it is not his first choice. He is now the biggest fan of Illume. Dom, Jean and Jay explained each course to us and were wonderful hosts along with Valerie. Every bite was delectable with a wide range of flavors. Donavan advised us on pairings as we don't regularly drink sake. His advise was spot on and Illume also has great non-alcoholic and wine choices. It was a magnificent evening and we'll definitely be back next time we're in Orlando.

The service at illume and the JW in general is top notch! The property itself is phenomenal. The view is what takes the cake with Disney fireworks going off at 9:00. A great place for a intimate date night or a place to have a celebration. The food is primarily apps style with the cocktails taking the highlight of the evening.

We were told when we arrived that the outside was under construction, so no outside seating. Sat by bar, not great. Service was haphazard with drink orders getting mixed up. Appetizers were delicious, sushi rolls and Nigiri were not very good. Rice undercooked and not properly seasoned ( I trained with a sushi master chef from Osaka ). Would not recommend, although we loved staying at the JW Marriott.
This is our second year in a row that we have eaten there & it was excellent again! Love seeing the fireworks from the rooftop! Can't wait to go again when we're back next year!

Seated next to the glass railing so we could see the fireworks. The glass was so dirty, we couldn't see out. It took over an hour to get our food because they lost our order. They brought a very nice cocktail to my husband for his birthday to make up for it but overall it didn't match my expectations or the service and cleanliness experienced with the hotel which was stellar.

Illume makes all other sushi restaurants seem like fast food. The quality of food, the views and the staff (not in that order) are by far the best in terms of sushi. We enjoy it at least once a month and always recommend the restaurant to our friends. Just amazing!
