Staff exceptional, food AMAZING. We were there to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. At one point during the evening, a couple of gentlemen were sitting at the bar watching a game and whooping and loudly clapping... needless to say that particular moment dampened the mood. The food and service is superb at Illume - think the folks at Michelin need to come back and have a taste at this restaurant. If you are near Orlando on a Sunday, reserve the Omakase. It is absolutely spectacular. We had entry before the restaurant opened and seats at the sushi bar. It is amazing experience and an excellent standalone restaurant, but is by far the best on the JW Marriott Bonnet Creak property. We were told when we arrived that the outside was under construction, so no outside seating. Sat by bar, not great. Service was haphazard with drink orders getting mixed up. Appetizers were delicious, sushi rolls and Nigiri were not very good. Rice undercooked and not properly seasoned ( I trained with a sushi master chef from Osaka ). Would not recommend, although we loved staying at the JW Marriott.
