2026: still a super good place to eat!!

Excellent food and very attentive service. Highly reccomended. Love all the tacos! My husband and I love this place and eat here or take out very frequently. The tropical grilled chicken and the jerk chicken are just the best you will ever try. Have to try the perfect corn on the cob, the collard greens are the best ever and al dente, and the Caribbean plantain lasagna are just delish!

Food is so good, like nothing I ever tasted before! I highly recommend the jerk chicken, oxtail fries, and creamed corn 10/10! And the service was amazing also the staff is extremely kind. I can’t wait to come back and try their other menu items!

We have visited Island Thyme twice now and we were pleased with our meals on both occasions. The first time we dined in, the food was brought to us extremely fast, and the service was friendly. The Chef also checked in on us while we dined. The second time I called in our order ahead, and it was ready at the promised time. So far, we have tried the oxtail macaroni and cheese, oxtail rice bowl, coconut shrimp, Magens Bay fried shrimp, collards, rice and beans, salad, and conch fritters. The portion sizes are very generous as well. We look forward to returning.

Easy review. All the food hitttttt! My table ordered the a chicken & oxtail rice bowl and the jerk pork mac & cheese everything was so good and came out fast too. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular. Don't hesitate to visit!

We put in a online order to get Jerk Chicken and Ribs combo. When I arrived the cashier greeted Me friendly. The decor was nice with a lot of Recognition from the community papers. There is plenty of dining seats. The bathroom was clean. The pickup went pretty easy. There is plenty of parking because it's in a shopping center. The food was delicious.

We spent $88 on three meals and the food was terrible. The rice was watery. The ribs was cold. The steak was raw. The Johnny Cake looked and tasted horrible. I was so underwhelmed by this restaurant. Would never recommend.

Heard about this place while browsing through Tik Tok and decided to visit, took my sister along with me and we loved it, we both orded the oxtail bowl with macaroni and plantain and couldn't finish our food in one eating. It was amazing and service was excellent.

Our first time here, the recommendations by the counter gentleman were spot-on (really, try the Mac and cheese!). The food was fantastic (we had shrimp tacos and empanadas). The chef came out to check in and see how we liked everything. So classy! Highly recommend this place, don’t let the fast-food look deter you, it was great!!!!

My sisters came into town for the Christmas holiday, and wanted to try a VI restaurant because we are from St. Thomas but live on the main line. After driving an hour to get to the location, we were disappointed after spending over $100 collectively. One of our orders was barbecue chicken, peas, and rice with plantain, The barbecue chicken was dry and it seemed like the barbecue sauce was placed over the chicken and baked over the peas and rice was very salty. The plantains were cooked very soft and mushy. we also ordered a salad, macaroni and cheese, the portion size was very insulting along with the macaroni being sweet. We were all dissatisfied especially for the price.

Amazing food, great vibes, and super friendly staff. The island atmosphere makes you feel like you’re on vacation, and everything we tried was full of flavor. Service was on point and welcoming from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Orlando — we’ll be back for sure! 🌴 ps the owner “VERN” is amazing! Will answer any questions and make your time amazing!

Found out about this place on Yelp before we got to Orlando and this was first stop. Place was clean, service was friendly. Food was great. Everything was flavorful and you get plenty of it. It was so good that after we walked to nearby grocery store, I ordered more as take out and it was also great. I highly recommend this place.

The food here was absolutely delicious! I had blackened fish, plantains, and a garden salad, and it was out of this world…
Great service and totally awesome place . I would eat here every day if I could.
It’s a wonderful spot and you have to try it out.
