The Grand Cypress Hyatt Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The pool is large and cavernous, complete with a waterfall that makes it feel like a little escape. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the lobby is absolutely beautiful. The buffet is pretty good overall, though the omelet was a bit of a letdown—overcooked and dry. Aside from that small hiccup, everything else was nearly perfect. I would definitely return here with my family.

The food is alright but could be better, especially for the price. Service is that good.
We had the issue a few years ago when we stayed at the Grand Cypress. We blamed Covid, but that wasn’t the reason.

We had dinner plans for another restaurant that ended up falling through so this was a last minute change that turned out to be such a great experience! Beautiful location with tall windows looking out onto lush landscaping and peaceful water. Our waiter was delightful and very helpful - providing excellent service. The food was delicious and the menu had enough variation in tastes and price but wasn't overwhelming. 10/10 would recommend!

Do not stay here if you don’t intended to use it as a resort stay. If you’re just going to parks, you’ll pay an extra $100+ dollars for amenities you don’t need. Definitely over-priced in every way. Breakfast buffet? 38 (w tip) per person. Room service pizza? $32 (w auto tip). Mixed drink? Upwards of $20. Valet parking has a ridiculous cost and self parking will have you walking at least a 1/4 mile. Getting towels for the pool is a real hassle, they should just be in your room. Definitely not suggested unless you plan to only stay at the hotel and not venture out. Suggest you only leave to eat elsewhere. Bring your own drinks.

We had a fantastic dinner at LakeHouse on our first night at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress — and it was exactly what our family needed after a long travel day!
We arrived on a Sunday evening, tired and hungry, and were greeted with such warm, attentive service. Our server was excellent — she made a point to bring out the kids’ meals first after we mentioned how hungry they were, which we really appreciated.
I ordered the crab dip appetizer as my main, and it was amazing — rich, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. The kids couldn’t get enough of the warm pita bread it came with, and I happily polished off every last bite of the dip using the carrot ribbons. So good!
The atmosphere was relaxed and polished, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and setting.

I dined at the restaurant three times during my stay and ordered online once. The 1st night I had the tomato basil soup and the forest greens salad, both delicious. The service the 1st night was stellar. My only complaint is that the soup is noted as gluten-free on the menu, but I was told after it arrived that the lavash served with it is not gluten-free.
I had breakfast one morning, just a simple two-egg breakfast, the waiter never asked how I wanted my eggs, but other than that, the food tasted fine. The coffee was cold and when I asked for a replacement, it took forever to get and it was full of coffee grounds. The service was horrible. We waited a long time for our food and the waiter rarely returned to our refill water.
My 3rd experience was an online order. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a gluten-free bun. There is VERY limited space in the comments to request any deviation. So I couldn't write that the deep fried onions needed to be removed. I hoped that since I ordered a gluten-free bun, they would comprehend that I had a gluten allergy. But they did not.
My 4th experience was happy hour. The service was great, the drink I ordered came with regular rum, but I requested it be swapped for coconut rum, it was not. Then I ordered the gluten-free pasta Alfredo, the pasta arrived and I began eating, after many bites, the waiter stopped to check on us. I asked if he was sure the pasta I received was gluten-free, he said he would double-check with the chef. It turned out, it wasn't gluten-free. I waited an additional 20 minutes to have it re-made, my companions had already finished eating well before my food arrived. The waiter did comp my drink as compensation, however I had a very bad reaction to the small amount of gluten I did eat. I think that once you advise staff of an allergy and request a gluten-free alternative, you should no longer have to worry that it's correct.

We loved the sushi at dinner and our server Kevin was amazing and friendly. We also ordered room service from here for breakfast and it arrived on time, well packaged, and the proper temperature. Lots of unique options too which was a nice change as a lot of breakfast places at hotels are very basic and boring. We had the Cuban bowl and yogurt and granola. Not at the same time because that would be a gross combo ha ha! All staff were wonderful each time we encountered them. The prices are very fair for the serving size and quality of food that you’re getting.

I was assisted as soon as I walked in and ordered the calamari and s’mores cheesecake. I originally saw on the website a key lime cheesecake but was informed they didn’t have it. I was pleasantly surprised about how delicious it all was especially for the price!

Absolutely incredible buffet for breakfast and the service is fantastic. The fruit is the best quality too. Really enjoyed our meal here.
