best oysters we've ever had, we've lived on both coasts also! Definitely a new favorite!

We live in St Pete and my husband saw the restaurant online, so we decided to try it. We arrived at 2:53. We were told to sit anywhere. There were 4 of us so we sat in a booth. We sat there for 20 minutes before anyone came by. We gave our drink order and ordered 4 dozen oysters, hush puppies and corn. We got the hush puppies and corn about 20 minutes later. We were told it would e awhile for the oysters because she had 2 buckets of oysters ahead of us. So we ordered a lb of peel and eat shrimp. That came out fairly quickly. We finally received 2 orders of oysters at 4:00. Then it was another 15 minutes before we got the other 2. We never were brought crackers or forks. We had To get them ourselves. The oysters were ok but nothing special. Our waitress said she didn’t know the price for a dozen, but she though they were $12-14. She said she would find out but never told us. The bill came and they were $24. We aren’t disputing the cost, but having an accurate price would have been nice.

Very disappointed, everything we ordered was breaded and frozen package nasty. 1st & last time. Took my family for special lunch…nothing fresh.

Rude Service. Oyster shucker was overheard mocking a customer in the kitchen — completely unprofessional.

very bad experience in this place, it has a lot of advertising but it doesn't have many people working, there are tables and they never come to serve you. There are people who reserve positions at the bar to wait for friends to arrive and the ladies at the bar are willing to reserve seats.

Love the oyster!!! It’s a must try. The steamed seafood platter is wonderful as well. But the restaurant itself is old.

I ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell and hush puppies. The oysters were delicious. I thought the price was rather high at $22 a dozen.

I love seafood, and if you love seafood this is not the place. Very old and unkept building, bathroom disgusting as others have said. customer service is very much lacking. Didn’t get some of the items ordered even though we were there of about 2 hours, but the items still made it onto the bill. I came because of the reviews but apparently the reviews are of what the place use to be. Growing up in the islands and now living close to the beach I know quality seafood and if you don’t know quality, you will be easily tricked into thinking the oysters are quality.

Oysters were amazing. The seafood platter not my favorite. Dry and under seasoned and the restaurant had an unruly smell to it. But the service made up for it. Tiffany was great!

Lee & Ricks is an amazing oyster bar. Don’t be put off by its shabby appearance on the outside. Inside you’ll find a gem of an oyster bar serving fresh iced oysters with cold beer. There are other things on the menu, but having delicious oysters opened in front of you makes for an amazing experience. Oysters are bargained priced for six or a dozen or a bucket. A fun experience as well.
