We celebrated our anniversary at 555 last night and we had an excellent experience. The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated immediately and service was great and timely. The steaks were amazing and prepared exactly as we requested. All other dishes: salads, sides and a chocolate souffle were wonderful. We will definitely return and recommend 555 to others.
Great as always. If you want a traditional steakhouse experience in Long Beach this is the best. Server Sarah was a particular delight who said while we were pondering our choices with cocktails in hand “Do you need a few moments to drink about it?” Highly recommended.
We had lunch at 11:30 so it was very quiet and enjoyable. Dinner time might be more noisy. My hamburger was juicy and cooked to my liking of medium rare. It's hard to have restaurants do this right. Fries are thin and crispy. Great cocktails. Will go back and try dinner.
I've been dining at 555 since 2021. The steaks rarely disappoint. Oysters and wine are good when recommended properly. Normally I rave about this place to others, but have found their service to be extremely inconsistent. Last night we dined with another couple who was there for their first time, and the waitress was particularly awful. I felt too bad to complain as it seemed busy, but she was definitely new and unfamiliar with the menu. Normally I ask the servers to bring a variety of oysters they recommend, and recommend a bottle of wine, etc. She just seemed lost and looking for guidance . To top it off, she accidentally ran into my hand with a serving plate while trying to clear it, and proceeded to mistakenly knock my iphone off the table and it landed face down on the floor. After that, we decided not to opt for a bottle or desert. Again, I really did feel bad for her and it's unfortunate she was put on the floor by management being as unprepared as she was. It makes the rest of the servers look bad and, to be honest, classed the place down a lot for me.
555 East is a great place to stop in at the bar for a cocktail or to celebrate a special event with a dinner. The waitstaff is always friendly and attentive and the steaks are absolutely delicious.
Anniversary dinner.... 17 years. The wife ordered the penne carbonara, amd I ordered the wet-aged ribeye. We shared 2 veggie sides: sauteed broccolini and sautéed asparagus with a gemolata topping. All delicious. I was an idiot and took a call just as the entrées were placed on the table...by the time I was done my steak was lukewarm. It was awesome anyway. The dinner, one cocktail, a 1/2 carafe of the cheapest cabernet sauvignon, a complementary creme brulee, along with an 18% tip, set me back $220. Not bad at all for a great meal, excellent service and beautiful surroundings.
Love this place! For my wife and I, this is one of our favorite “date night” destinations. The steaks are excellent and the waitstaff are always so nice and accommodating. It's not just the steaks that are wonderful! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The wine list is quite nice, and they make a mean martini. Of all the restaurants in their group, this one is the best.
It was overall an amazing experience. Our waiter was tremendous, made recommendations that was exceptional and exactly as he described! The food was delicious. Oysters came with a to die for habanero sauce that wasn't so much spicy but rather savory and irresistible! The steak was the most tender and delicate piece of steak we ever had, honestly, and cooked to perfection. We originally got seats near a group of 20 that was a little loud so we asked to be moved. The move was seamless and were accommodated a seat at a more quiet area. Manager checked on us as well to make sure we were okay, which was appreciated. We received a cream brûlée on the house for my wife's birthday, which was generous and thoughtful of the waiter and establishment. We will be coming back!
It is a pleasure dining at 555 in Southern California, and I must say it truly is an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the top-notch service and inviting ambiance. The hand-cut filet mignon that I ordered was perfectly cooked to my liking and simply exquisite. Each bite melted in my mouth, showcasing the skill and precision of the chefs at this steakhouse. It's no wonder why this establishment is considered a contender for the best steakhouse in Southern California - they consistently get it right every time. In addition to the phenomenal steak, I also enjoyed a huge baked potato that was loaded with all the fixings, as well as fresh and flavorful crab cakes that were a delightful indulgence. Overall, my dining experience at 555 exceeded my expectations in every way. The attention to detail, quality of food, and exceptional service make this restaurant a standout choice for anyone looking to indulge in a memorable meal. I highly recommend visiting 555 for an unforgettable culinary experience.
We celebrated my birthday dinner last night and as expected we are not disappointed. This is not our first time and because of the quality of food and service we keep on coming back. 555 is a neighborhood gem. They know how to cook the steak to perfection. The service is absolutely 5 stars. Sarah is the best; she took good care of us with a warm smile and flawless service. If you want a great service, make sure to ask for Sara's area and she will not disappoint. My rib eye steak is tender, well-seasoned and cook perfectly to my liking. My husband's steak is Sirloin Cap tasty, tender and cook to his liking as well The Octopus is tender and tasty and so as Roasted Beets Salad is colorful and tasty as well. As for the kill, the butter cake is delicious, moist and famous dessert. I got the creme brulee is aa good as the butter cake. Thank you, Sarah, for the great servce and making my birthday celebration memorable

If you're searching for a top-notch steakhouse in Long Beach, look no further than 555 East Steakhouse. Our recent dining experience was spectacular, and I can't wait to share the highlights! Now, let's talk about our waiter, Greg. He was an absolute gem! Knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about his work, Greg elevated our dining experience to another level. He took the time to understand our preferences and offered insightful suggestions on the steak menu that truly impressed us. With his rich knowledge of the different cuts and preparations, Greg helped us choose the perfect steaks that matched our tastes. I opted for the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. My dining partner ordered the ribeye, and it was equally outstanding—marbled beautifully, it practically melted in our mouths. We also indulged in some sides, and the truffle mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts were absolute must-haves! Not only was the food exceptional, but the service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our glasses were never empty, and Greg was always nearby to ensure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. To wrap up our meal, we couldn't resist trying the dessert, and the chocolate cake was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable dining experience.
They messed up my wife's drink order three times, overcharged us over a hundred dollars so it became a game as to what was going to go wrong next. Must have been a bad night for them, it's hard to find good help these days.
What a great place to enjoy a nice ambience and quality steak. We were impressed with our server, Davina. She made us feel warm and valued. We enjoyed her guidance of the menu and overall experience. Top Notch!!
A traditional steakhouse vibe in downtown Long Beach with a cool bar, outdoor dining and hand cut, dry aged steaks. A good value when compared to other steak houses and very attentive, professional service. An extensive wine list and, no corkage fee if you bring in wine from your collection. Valet parking is directly adjacent to the front door making parking very convenient.
We went for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and everything was amazing! Our server, Ray, made the whole dining experience so wonderful. He was so informative about the drinks and menu and was absolutely hilarious. When we go back to 555, I will definitely request sitting in his section because he was so amazing!
