First-time diners at Maki Hibachi. My wife and I enjoyed the modern ambiance. Everything we tried was tasty and fresh. We started with the Drunken Tuna for our appetizer. Then we shared an Urban Roll and an Orange Bowl Roll, finishing up with the Chocolate Tuxedo Bomb with ice cream. That proved to be plenty of food for the two of us. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented. Our only complaint is with our server, who was courteous and friendly overall, but insisted on trying to upsell us through every course of our dinner. I tried to convey that we were happy with the selections we were making on our own, but she just didn't seem able to take a hint. We always appreciate server recommendations, but this went beyond that. My wife and I are both interested in dining at Maki Hibachi again. But we hope our server won't be as pushy the next time around. Maybe better training might help? In any case, we're looking forward to giving them another try.

Best Sushi, Nigiri and Temaki in Lake Nona. They also serve up some darn good Hibachi (huge portions) and bento boxes.... with a great selection of cold or hot appetizers, that are all absolutely delicious. My wife and I are regular's and eat here often.

I took a group of 16/17 year olds for a birthday dinner. Was surprised at how low the bill was. It's our favorite restaurant and it will continue to be! The food is always great. Favorite sushi dish is the Orange Bowl Roll!

Service is usually very good when we come, but today I think they were short staffed. We ended up being passed on to a different server because I guess the original server had been given to many tables already. She seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Anyways the other server come to find out at the end was the MANAGER, and we had to ask for EVERYTHING. We had to ask for refills on drinks, we had to ask for napkins, and sauces. We always get asked if we want sauces with sushi but he never asked us any of that. As a server whose your job is to attend to the guest and see what it is they need, of course the guest will ask for things here and there, but when we have to ask for the most basic things every single time and when we have to ask to even get the server to come to our table, then it just annoying.

Hibachi has excellent food—absolutely perfect—but unfortunately, the customer service is unacceptable. This is the second time we’ve arrived 18 minutes before closing, and they refuse to let us in or serve us. If you’re going to run a restaurant, the hours should be more flexible. If the closing time is 3 PM, customers should be allowed to enter until then. This level of service is disappointing and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place, especially if you’re looking forward to enjoying a meal and expect reasonable service.

This is my favorite local restaurant. The food is amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. The parking is the worse experience. Best to just park by Chili's because you won't find a spot close to the restaurant. UPDATE... Food has gone downhill. Usually served warm at best. I really miss what this restaurant use to be.

Excellent place to eat with family. On this occasion I visited with my two children (1-4 years old). What I liked most was getting a kids menu with good options (we chose meat and noddles for them). We ordered 3 sushi and a passion fruit tea, 100% recommended. The food tastes and feels fresh. Very pleasant atmosphere. One negative point, which is why I gave 4 stars to the service, is that they never offered me a child seat, otherwise excellent service.
