We had high expectations for Maxine's and they exceeded those expectations! From the attentive service to the welcoming greeting by the owners, we really enjoyed our visit. After reading all the positive reviews, we drove an hour to experience it for ourselves. The picture of the skillet lasagna on their website was the final push to make the trip and it didn't disappoint!
Food was under par. Ordered the lasagne - which came out on a warm skillet but the food was lukewarm. Second dish ordered Thai curry - over priced and better Thai food found on Colonial.
We had an amazing dining experience at Maxine's on Shine! The staff was very friendly, Steve was our waiter and he went above and beyond to take care of us! We met Julie the bartender who made fabulous cocktails! The Chocolate and Expresso martini's were divine! Maxine was in and paid us a visit and took a group photo and gave us the history about the restaurant and how hard they work at making sure every patron leaves wanting to come back!
