I had the most amazing experience at Mecatos thanks to Genesis, who made me a chai tea that was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The flavor was perfectly balanced.  She is the sweetest and I’ll definitely be coming back just for that chai. Highly recommend!

I tried a few items. The pandebono is excellent. The burger is not good, I don't think they cook it in the moment, it seems like it's precooked and they warm it up, it does not taste fresh.

Coffee is not great either. Empanadas are just OK. Passion fruit smoothie is good.

I will go back for their pandebono.

At a different location I tried their cachapa con queso, and it was good.

Hidden gem in Apopka! Great service, coffee, and empanadas. Our service was amazing. Owen was very attentive to our order. He was helpful with creamer for coffee and sauces for empanadas. I love this place

Very disappointed ☹️ I googled for COLOMBIAN Bakery and Mecatos popped up! We came ready to eat a good Colombian breakfast but unfortunately this is NOT what Colombian bakery looks like! The employee didn’t know what a Colombian calentado was :( I was so shocked when I found out that this business is just a Venezuela bakery and they don’t sell anything Colombian people traditionally eat for breakfast! And on top of that they are very expensive!!!! Please be more transparent with your customers and please don’t advertise your bakery as Colombian because you are not! You guys wasted my time!!! I’m not recommend this business to Colombians cuz they don’t have what Colombians eats for breakfast: they don’t have Breakfast calentado de arroz, beans, pericos and steak, they don’t have arepas con queso, they don’t have chorizos, they don’t have rellenas , they don’t have papas rellenas, they don’t have a traditional breakfast menu for Colombian customers. Shame on you!!!! Advertisement as Colombian bakery and you don’t have nothing Colombian there!!!! Please change your profile to aVENEZUELAN Bakery because that’s exactly what you guys are! Don’t keep fooling Colombians with your fake Colombian bakery because you are not!!!!!

Dear team,

I am sorry to say that on October 12th, 2025, I did not receive the quality of service I am used to at your establishment. I invited a coworker to show him the quality of your coffee, but unfortunately the experience was not positive.

I placed an order to dine in (a cappuccinos and buñuelos). However, the coffee was served in a cardboard cup. When I asked why it wasn’t served in a proper mug, the barista became annoyed and told me my order was “to go.” I explained that it was not, that I was staying, and that the order included food. She returned visibly upset, making unpleasant gestures. She brought the mugs, but simply poured the coffee from the cardboard cup into them, which completely ruined the presentation—no attempt at latte art or proper service.

I have been a frequent customer since the time Ms. Karen worked there, and in my opinion she is a professional barista. I understand everyone is learning; I am not asking for perfection, just an effort, a smile, and the level of service I was accustomed to.

I asked to speak with the manager, but I was told she would not be available that day. Another staff member kindly spoke with me and offered to remake the coffee. I appreciate the gesture, but my intention is not to receive anything for free. My concern is simply the quality of service, as the overall experience was not pleasant.

I visit your café often, and I sometimes enjoy breakfast there with my family. We are a group that frequently visits the city center, and we truly enjoy your establishment. For that reason, I hope this situation can be resolved positively.

This review is just for the day.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was pretty good and definitely more affordable than other restaurants in the area. Not celiac friendly as they keep their gluten free items literally up against regular items in the same case. They do warn there may be cross contamination, but we do feel with as many cases as they have for baked goods, they could do way better keeping the gluten free items separate at the very least. Good experience otherwise.

A high-quality bakery with delicious hot and cold drinks, especially juices. A perfect alternative to Starbucks, where you can stay as long as you need, enjoying the Latin music.
