Fabulous Puerto Rican food and plenty of it! The service was gracious and efficient (Ask to sit at one of Anthony's tables when you go).
I had the steak with onions (yum!) and the BEST mufongo I've ever tasted, and I am from Miami!
My guest had chicken with empanado, tostones, yellow rice and pigeon peas; that you would swear came from your own abuela's kitchen. So, so good.
Be sure to save room for dessert, the Surtido de Aperi was worth every single calorie!
For your next dinner out, don't walk, RUN to Mi Viejo San Juan, for delicious food from our U.S. city San Juan.

First time visiting and sadly a big disappointment. We ordered two Tripletas and two Coco Rico drinks and the bill was over $40.
The restaurant was clean and the staff were nice, but the sandwiches? Basically a loaf of bread with a Houdini meat (now you see me, now you don’t 😏). I’ve seen grilled cheese sandwiches thicker than this “Tripleta.” It looked like they pressed it so hard on the grill the meat disappeared.
The fries tasted like they had been waiting for us since yesterday.
With a name like “Mi Viejo San Juan” and a Puerto Rican flag waving outside, I expected a real Puerto Rican Tripleta… not a bread sandwich in disguise. That was a Tripleta en espíritu because the meat was missing. 😭 Puerto Rico deserves an apology.

Caution, this is no longer a Puertorican restaurant. They sale Puertorican food and Mexican food, which should have been my first RED flag.
We ordered Puertorican food and nothing had taste. There were 4 in our party and food came out very slowly, one by one. When ever the person who got the food finished, the waiter came with the next plate.
They had only one person in the kitchen, 1 waiter/food runner and what looked like a manager who only walked around and stared at plus the whole time.
Don't waste your time and money, it is not worth it.

Food was unpleasant. The only was so,so, was the mofongo. Service so bad. I will never comeback. My son was a customer for so many years and he said it is not the same.

I absolutely love this place. It made me fall in love with Puerto Rican food. I cannot say how grateful and happy I am to have such a wonderful server like Rebecca she treated my friend and I amazing. She told us exactly how to eat and what to eat.

I am not sure what is happening lately in this restaurant. I've been a client for many years and even when the owners changed the first time they were still a great place to go to for a good puertorrican meal...I dont know if there's new owners or what exactly is going on, but the last 2 times we've been there we've noticed the quality of the food is definitely not the same, it seems low quality. We ordered a trifongo and tostones and it seems they were cooked with old oil. We couldn't eat it. The presentation was terrible, the empanadillas have changed completely and not in a positive way. Not the same flavor or way of cooking. I don't think we will be going there again. Very unfortunate.

I had to return to change my 5 star review because this restauran is no longer the same.I think it's under another administration.
The food is not authentic Puerto Rican food like it used to be, as much as they try.
And prices doubled.
Sadly don't think I'll be returning.
