I traveled many countries while on active duty with the military for more than 24 years and visited many Korean restaurants. I mean no offense to those who found flaws in Mimi's food when I write this. However, in my opinion, Korean food is not Chinese or Oriental; it's Korean. Mimi's Kitchen Korean Grill is, perhaps, the best I have ever been to. No, I am not Korean or married to one. My wife is a French cuisine chef and acknowledged that this place is one of a kind. Is it perfect? No. But is really close to it. See you soon ? Mimi.
Food is delicious. Mimi is really sweet. We only had a an issue one time. She seemed to be having a bad day which happens. Menu is limited. Vegetable fried rice is disappointing.
It a long review but here is the short part of it: Best authentic Bulgogi in Orlando.Best authentic Korean bulgogi I’ve had during my time here in Orlando. The flavor was not sweet but savory, exactly like South Korea.We randomly stop by this place because one of our friend was hungry and I was already full when we got here.At first glance inside, I didn’t have a high expectation of the food outcome. It looked like a place that was just trying to keep in business.My friend had order beef bulgogi and so did my wife and I. The funny thing is that when we ordered, she said the the fish only come with one rice and are we sure we didn’t want two order of bulgogi. She said it pretty mean (it gets better, trust me). We assured her my wife and I only want one and will share it.After taking our order she went back out to cook the food. I was confused, I thought there would’ve been a different cook but nope. She did it all by herself.When she brought the food out (see picture) I knew right away that the dish wasn’t going to be super sweet like all the ones around here. She heard me said that and start talking about how her food are made by her and taste better then any Korean bulgogi around here.The first spoon of that bulgogi brought me memories of Seoul. It was so good that I only ate the meat and forgot the banchan. They were great as well.After the meal and getting to know the owner a bit. I came to realize she is just like every mom and pop food shop in Seoul. They aren’t mean or aggressive, it just how they talk and it their way of showing their sweetness.I will definitely come back here again.

Mimis food tasted like going to your moms house on a sunday night. Best home-made food restaurant myself and my family has been too. We had to go back the day after before our flight! Food was delicious and without MSG, you dont get that sleepy groggy feel after being so full. Mimi who was not just the owner and the cook, was also a very good host. From the moment we walked in, it was like seeing your mom who just wants you to sit, eat and forget all your problems in the world!Great experience and recommend it to even the most pickiest eaters! My father and I were shopping for tools in the area and decided to stop by after seeing a sign. We love Korean food and wanted to give this place a try. Best galbi and bulgogi hands down! I loved the variety of banchan Mimi gave us. I absolutely loved the purple rice served with our food (I had been looking all over for it to no avail). Mimi is a fast cook and gave wonderful customer service. Mimi's Kitchen Korean Grill is a perfect example of "Don't judge a book by its cover". It's location maybe small but the food is prepared fresh, it's inexpensive compared to other Korean restaurants and we're definitely coming back for more!
