This was really fun and probably some of the best food that you can get inside Universal. Everything is ordered through the app although they do have a counter for anyone who needs assistance. We love the pork belly sandwich as well as the banana dessert. Deep fried cauliflower is also phenomenal. I prefer the tater tots to the chips because the tater tots are well seasoned and not like your typical tot. It's fun, it's clean, it's a little overpriced but that's pretty standard for theme parks... Overall this is something I would recommend especially if you're in Universal studios for the day.

Meh...
The ordering system is not ideal.
Food came and it was ok, nothing to write home about.
No cutlery provided and a dirty glass.
Staff were OK with changing it.
It just feels very Meh all round.
Wouldn't return.
It wasn't very busy and feel like the place would struggle if it was.
Oh and only ketchup available as sauce.

Illumination's Minion's Cafe is a fun themed restaurant. They have creative minions dishes which is interesting for children.

The food was pretty standard for a theme park

It's also a nice spot to cool down.

My unicorn cupcake didn’t say it had banana and it did. I do not like bananas.

Was surprised at the quality of this theme park food . Had the steak sandwich with melted cheese with minion tator tots. Kids had nuggetts and spaghetti 🍝. Very tasty but of course theme park pricing. Luckily i get premier pass discount. 4.95 for each soft drink is a bit much 🤦🏻‍♀️Place is minion themed and cute

I did like the food, I got the vegan / plant based cauliflower wings, and we got the salmon as well with the guacamole hat.
Both dishes were good, but for the quantity and quality of course is over priced.
For people who are NOT tech savy, they wouldn't like this place as you have to order from the app directly. There is no ordering physically. It's was easy, but some people really get mad over this. 🤷🏽‍♀️
There was no wait for us, and we got the food rather quickly.
This is more for the fun of it and for your kids to enjoy. Don't expect amazing high-end quality.

My first time here i enjoyed the atmosphere, but ordering became a headache because of the lack of wifi connectivity in the back of the restaurant. At first I walked to the front to find a paper menu, then found once I left the back area I could order using the or code.

The food itself was fine, but not the greatest. I enjoyed myself, but have never gone back. My fiance was a bit annoyed, but we ate and sampled each other's food and just felt everything was ok.

The staff and atmosphere are great though. There are cool photo ops and a good bit of minion humor all around

I say check it out for yourself. For me it was a one and done. For you it could be much more.

Complete thumbs down on the ordering system. why do I need an app for everything?
Then I couldn't get the app to work.
Then I couldn't get the credit card to work.
Then I have to label our table number. So annoying. Haven't even gotten the food yet.
Order said complete after the appetizer came out.
Minion tots for the win.
Otto's pet rock was good too.
Pimento cheddar was a fail.
Disappointed with the steak and cheese.
Disappointed with the mini melt.
The Otto Noodle Bowl was liked.
The salmon was liked.

I expected a more immersive experience from what I saw online. We went during the dinner hours and it was almost like it was closed. It was almost empty and no staff to be seen.
Scanned our order in and someone brought it out. Nothing special at all
The menu is fun and had some interesting dishes but execution was not solid.
Again, this did not hit my expectations at all and probably will choose a different restaurant next visit.

Fantastic stop in Universal for a family to grab a bite. The best item in the entire park may be the Uncle Mel’s pork sandwich. 5 stars for that alone. The meatball melt is enough to share but mine was a tad doughy. Very flavorful for theme park food

Absolutely disastrous, To start we waited 1 and 1/2 hours for our food and on top of that the food was just overall extremely processed the service was fine but took forever and when I asked for napkins I was told to go get them myself
Atmosphere was good I think its cool that kids get to experience things they see in the movies and enjoy what'd it be like in real life

Result (we spent 170$ ordered for 6 people and were given a free desert as compensation)
