My sick daughter just got a bunch of blood taken after seeing her specialist and we went to the cafeteria at 10:15 am and they had 4 fresh pizzas and refused to sell one to my sick child because its not 11am yet. So those 4 pizzas will sit under a heat lamp for 45 minutes before they are allowed to be sold at lunch time to more sick kids. Old congealed pizza for sick children at a children's hospital. Yet there breakfast was already gone. So after all that blood taken we had to go somewhere else to get her food because all that was available was pre-packaged garbage. How are you going to look a sick and pale child and tell them they can't have that pizza until it rots under a light til 11am. Maybe make the pizzas closer to the actual selling time. Not an hour before you are "allowed" to sell them. Bad food practices in a children's hospital. Lazy pizza guy and has no compassion so he shouldn't be working around people who need compassion.

It is only for relatives of hospital patients. People who come from outside cannot enter. I wanted water and I had to walk a mile to buy it. I understand that it is security

Besides the long lines at the check in area, I love this location and the specialists my son sees here. The staff is always friendly from Endo, to orthopedics. Very knowledgeable doctors as well.

This is an amazing hospital with wonderful personnel. The doctors and staff are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They have assisted our family with perinatal care for two children. The cardiology department at Nemours provided us with a second opinion saving one of our children from needless surgeries and pain. Highly recommend.

The hospital is clean, easy to get to, park at, and get into. The process they have to bypass checkin after your first therapy appointment is a huge time saver.

Good doctors, good explanation. No team communication, Nurse was lost had no clue doctor had already spoken to us. Waited over 5 hours just for a 5 min explanation, no test, nothing, just to be told the virus my daughter has doesn't even need to be tested and just goes away on its own. Was told I was going to receive paperwork and then could leave, waited over an hour and a half for paperwork before we could leave.

Well I don't know how to start but the service of this hospital is the worst i got here at 11pm i have my daughter with fever in 104 they tell me the I have to wait 2 hours already pass 2 hours and still waiting i see others baby crying who knows why the maybe in pain or something and no one seems to care they don't do anything. I have next to me a baby less than a year who fail and have a bleeding nose and they still have to wait 2 hours maybe more. If you have a real emergency please go somewhere else probably is going to be the same but just give a try here you die first.

My daughter had her surgery here recently. Very easy process. They called and set it up over the phone I got reminder messages and text, another phone call from anesthesiologist to go over her pre op care. Once there everything is very clean and easy to find. Starting with security and registration then lead to the department you need. There is a lot of people working and making sure only the correct people are going to the correct areas. Once in the surgical waiting room it was HUGE. Lots of space to get away from others and they had a terrace. Covered and uncovered with concrete, soft padded floor and then fake grass. It was very pretty. In the pre op room she was taken care of so well she was given a superhero gown and socks with movies on the tv and coloring items. Once in surgery you get updates from the liaison who was beyond perfect she was so caring and tended to everyone and everything. She went above and beyond. Her surgery was 4 hours long after she went to recovery and I was able to be with her again. The nursing staff was very attentive and caring but one nurse wasn't so pleasant and the bathrooms were not cleaned. (Reason for 4 stars not five). I went to the cafe for breakfast lots of choices and reasonable prices. Cashier was very rude and short with everyone. (Another 4 star reason). I did have time to spare during her surgery so went to the gift shop and the clerk was very respectful and helpful with any questions I had. She asked very politely why I was there and if she could do anything to make it better. It was a pleasant experience and she even gave my daughter a free balloon. I would definitely take her here for surgery again.

My son injured himself at a soccer tournament and couldn't move his arm. While we live in Orlando, we don't live in the Lake Nona area. A quick map search told me Nemours Children's Hospital was just a few miles away. I braced myself for spending the whole day here, as that's generally been my experience with Emergency Rooms.Upon entry we were greeted by a security guard who directed us to two nurses who immediately took our information. They gave my son a temporary sling and we were met by Paramedic Happy, who showed us to our room. Paramedic Happy is such a kind and caring woman. My son was caked in mud from the soccer field and I felt *terrible* for the mess we were creating. She told me don't worry about anything, got him hooked up to monitors and got him comfortable. She even removed his soccer cleats and gave him hospital socks so he could be more comfortable. She could also tell my youngest son was very concerned so she gave him the TV remote so he could choose a program to watch. We then had a bevy of people coming in to figure out my son's injuries. They had a portable X-ray machine, which is wonderful, as my son didn't have to leave the room. I believe the person who took the X-ray was Paramedic Joe. He was also so kind with my son and myself.Within minutes (more than 5 but less than 30) we had the good luck of having PA Caden come in and explain to us my son's injury, which was a fractured collar bone. He let us view the X-ray, explained what was needed in easy to understand terms. The Dr came in as this was happening, and she was ALSO so kind, I think her name was Dr. Corrine (I tried writing all names down, but the day is a bit of a blur). She concurred with PA Caden and gave us additional information about his care and injuries. PA Caden told us that if we had any questions, we could always contact him directly.Paramedic Happy then fitted my son with a better sling and swathe and our nurse (whose name I can't remember, I am so sorry) told us how to manage my son's pain without prescriptions. It still shocks the heck out of me but we were only there for one hour and 10 minutes, start to finish. I can't even tell you how highly I recommend this facility. If my children are ever injured again, and it's not a crazy, blood pouring everywhere, emergency, I would seriously take the ride back to this hospital because it is clear that making children feel better is their passion.Thank you!!

***UROLOGY SURGERY DEPARTMENT REVIEW****I heard really good things about this hospital and the location is beautiful but this review is in regards to the Urology Surgery Department- Specifically the provider Meera R Laxman, PA . I called about a week ago to make an appointment for my sons appt to be seen to be circumcised. The scheduler said they were able to get us in promptly that everything would be good to go. She specifically said "PLAN TO BE THERE FOR A FEW HOURS" and stated my son would be having surgery. She booked us with the surgery department. She did mention we would first have the consultation and then would take him to do the procedure. I drove 2.5 hours for this appointment one way. We arrive to the appointment was never given any directions or the flyer regarding the procedure. The provider mentioned above comes in and briefly examines my son with a person who was "learning". Upon completion of her exam she was very cold with lacking bedside manner. Kept saying something was wrong with my son's genitals however no one else (we have seen different pediatricians and have been seen at the emergency room once ) have ever mentioned anything about his genitals being "deformed" as she finally stated. Then while my child is only in a diaper SCREAMING this provider tries to talk over his screaming. when I went to get him dressed because I couldn't focus or hear anything and knowing by getting him dressed will help calm him down, this provider immediately started giving attitude (again terrible bedside manner). I then stated I would like to speak to patient advocacy since it is my right to speak to them. She immediately became defensive and stated she has no idea where they were, and then continued to say that our pediatrician "doesn't know what they are talking about when looking at the genitals". I also requested a second opinion from another provider and was told she was the only provider so she will be the only one that can give her opinion. I never got to speak to patient advocacy since apparently they were unable to be found, but I spoke to the manager of the nurses. Her and I both were confused about the scheduling of the appointment as to why the scheduling department scheduled us for this. Then upon reading the final report from the provider above she stated how "mother got angry in the appointment". Well put yourself in my shoes, this provider has no bedside manner, is allowing a 8 week old baby to scream and when his parent is confused maybe that would come off as angry. I really hope this provider takes a hard look at her bedside manner and works towards being kinder to new parents that for some reason get scheduled wrong. If you have a choice request someone other than her in the Urology surgery department.

This location was easy to locate if quite a distance from us. We had to go for a sleep study on my youngest. If you are not familiar with this procedure it involves spending a night sleeping with a lot of wires hooked to you at the hospital. It is performed in a special section and is generally very easy. It is done on someone who snores and has breathing issues. We arrived at around 8 pm and parked in the garage. It was a short walk to the main entrance. Because of the late time it was very quiet. We stopped inside the front door and answered some questions and had our temperatures taken. We then went to the security station and checked in. They took my picture for my name tag and we had a short wait for the tech. Brian showed up and introduced himself and took us up to the sleep lab. We signed some paperwork and he went over the basics of the test. We sat for about an hour to wind down and then Brian came back and set my kid up. We then tucked in to fall asleep and wake at 5 am. My kid did very well during the night with everything hooked up to them For me it was not so great. Because they are under 18 I had to stay with them for the night. The issue is that they provide a very uncomfortable fold out chair to sleep on and my back will not let me do it. Because of this my only other choice was to sit in the regular chair they provide with my head on a pillow on the tray table. I was able to sleep for less than a couple hours and still woke up in quite a bit of pain. At least I was able to walk out. When my older child had one of these we were someplace else and they provided a regular bed for both the patient and the accompanying parent. On the plus side Brian did a fabulous job and did his best to make us comfortable for the night with what was provided. As a hospital I have heard very good things about them and thankfully have never needed their other services.

I cannot even find a negative comment about this place if I tried. We live in Brevard county, my 12 year old broke her arm in a bad way and we knew to take her immediately to Nemours. They took her back as priority and started treating her immediately , consulted Ortho who came within 1 hour . They took her to the OR to repair her arm and communicated with us every little step of the way. Dr. Malone was the surgeon. They also have state of the art equipment !
