Horrible. They have went down hill tremendously. I ordered fish, seasoned potatoes, toast and scrambled eggs. They are definitely using OLD grease. It’s embarrassing when family admits they can smell the old grease without me opening the container. It’s been that way a couple of times now.

10/10. Service was incredible. Love all around, safe and cozy place.
Nikki’s Place serves up real deal Southern comfort food with heart. I had the shrimp and grits with home fries, a biscuit, over easy eggs, & coffee. I swear that EVERYTHING was seasoned perfectly and cooked with care.
The shrimp were tender, the grits creamy, and the biscuit warm and flaky. I took home a sweet potato pie that was smooth, rich, and not too sweet, a perfect finish. Friendly service and homestyle flavor make this Orlando spot a must visit.

We visited Nikki’s Place yesterday around 10 a.m. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Saturday morning, but we decided to give it a try. Our waitress, Tokyo, was absolutely phenomenal, truly the best part of the entire experience.
My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles with grits, and I ordered the pork chops with grits, a biscuit, and a side of catfish. The first red flag was being asked if we wanted to pay before or after our meal, something I’ve never experienced at a sit-down restaurant. We went ahead and paid, but unfortunately, that was the beginning of a disappointing experience.
My boyfriend couldn’t even eat his meal, his waffle was burnt, and the chicken was not edible. Both of our grits were runny and cold. My plate was mediocre at best, and for $70, it was one of the worst breakfast experiences we’ve ever had. When the untouched food was taken away, no one offered a refund or even asked if we wanted something else instead.
I genuinely try to support small, Black-owned businesses, but when you charge premium prices, the quality and care should reflect that. Sadly, this visit missed the mark completely.

My husband wanted some chitterlings and looked this place up online and insisted on trying this place out. He ate them so quick, I couldn't get a picture but he said they were flavorful. The plate was full and he had a side of Mac and cheese that was okay and Lima beans that he only ate a few of. He said the chitterlings were a hit and he'd be back for more.

I came into the restaurant walked up to the counter and waited for about 6 mins. No one came out and said anything......I walked around the store...still no one came out and said May I help you! This was at 11am on a Friday.....the service is fractured....

For as long as I have lived in Orlando Florida, I don’t know how I haven’t come across Nikki‘s place yet… One of my dear friends visiting Orlando said that they wanted to go to one of THEIR favorite black owned buildings and businesses, and to my surprise, this place has been an absolute legend of an experience from the greeting as we entered the door, to the music that floods your ears, and the energetic delicious vibrations that flows through this place… This is the reason why we are in this together and supporting local black owned a business businesses. An absolute wonderful and delightful experience all the way down the last bite!! Let’s be honest the customer service is exceptional… this is a four star restaurant experience; it’s the principle that resonates here - integrity in their ingredients and truths behind their smiles! Ive officially found a new favorite restaurant!!

The meal was fine, nothing to write home about. What ticked me off was that a meal costing $25 with the drink became $33 with the MANDATORY tip. This is the first time that I have had the server (owner?) of a small, non-franchised establishment tell me that the tip option was already added to the check, without giving me the choice. FYI the average tip is between 15% and 20%, not almost 33%. Sorry, but I won't be going back here to eat.

If you are from the SOUTH SOUTH, this place really feel like home. I just want to be here even if I don’t get any food.

I have been looking forward to eating from here for a long time. I have followed the restaurant for years on Facebook. When I finally got the change to eat here i was disappointed. Maybe i caught them on a bad day I don't know. My mac & cheese got melted on the foam plate you can see it in the pictures. My chicken tasted off like it was reheated it was also dry. Now the candy yams that was on point absolutely delicious. The cornbread was average. I might give them another try if I do and its better I will update this review.
