I forgot to take a pic of my food. But I had smothered ribs Mac and greens the Mac and cheese was the best the greens was straight and the smothered ribs was ok wasnt all that good to me but it would’ve been better if it had already came with rice the rice is a side so you would’ve had to pay $4 for a side of rice just to have with your meal which is crazy but the portion size wasnt worth the price
but the banana pudding was trash asf I’m sorry I couldn’t eat it and I’m the type will just eat it even if it’s not good but it wasn’t good at allll the pudding taste like they use lemon pudding all I know I just couldn’t get over the taste of the pudding so I just threw it away because I had better no shade but I would rather ate Publix banana pudding

I am grateful for processing a refund of $30 from my initial payment of $88 for my recent meal. However, I must convey my disappointment regarding your response to my concerns. I felt that the implication that my family and I were being untruthful was unwarranted, as honesty is paramount to me.
I intended to return yesterday to address the issue regarding the turkey wings. While the outer portion of the wings was cooked thoroughly, I found that some areas of the inner meat were undercooked. Unfortunately, my visit was impossible as the restaurant was closed, requiring me to drive back from Winter Garden.
As a matter of principle, I strive to support black-owned businesses, and I genuinely hope this recent experience was an isolated incident. I wish you and your establishment continued success and blessings.

The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried to crispy perfection, with juicy meat that fell right off the bone. I ordered my meal through Ubereats. I did not dine in, it was carry out. Food was great I did expect two pieces of catfish, but the portion was good. The amount I paid for this was close to about $18, I’d say it was a bit much for what I received. If it were $3 less, definitely worth it. Not a bad experience at all.

I called to inquire about parking and was given a rush response with no empathy. I also asked what was Saturday's hours and was told by the female that answer to go to the website. I asked if she could just tell me what time..her response was that, "I'm with a customer and it would be better for you to look yourself (well I was a potential new customer and (again no customer service ethics). As much as I want to support minority businesses...she discouraged me by being so unprofessional with an I don't care attitude. I did not eat here.

The food is good but they struggle to read directions on Uber eats when you order that way. Just go in person, never had a bad experience in person but I’m extremely frustrated that everytime I order using a delivery service they get a side wrong, forget to make and give the driver your drink or just get the order wrong all together.
I wrote this original review a month ago, disappointed in my order being incorrect but the food quality is decent so I ordered again having faith that their process for making delivery orders had improved but it hasn’t. Yet another disappointment with an item missing from my order. Not sure where the disconnect is whether with uber or the actual restaurant but EVERY SINGLE TIME I order online I’m disappointed. Unfortunate
My husband and I are visiting in Orlando. We were looking for a black owned food spot and found Nikki's Place. After reading mixed reviews, we decided to give this spot a try. While the place itself isn't visually appealing (we were greeted with a black chicken outside the entrance door and the inside needs a paint job), we were pleasantly surprised with the food and service. We ordered two catfish dinners with yellow rice and gravy: one with lima beans and yams and the other with greens and mac and cheese. The wait time was reasonable, the food was excellent, and the staff were very down to earth and entertaining! Will definitely recommend and will definitely return.

I got a fried catfish with grits, 1 fried egg and a half of 1 piece of toast with a lemonade for my drink. That dish was $13.99. The portions and taste was not $13.99 worthy. The grits and were the only thing that was tasty but had only 3 spoon fulls of it. For the amount of food I had, I should have paid $5.99. I could have gone to Breakfast King. Oh yeah, the lemonade was good.

Ordered the smothered pork chop with mash potatoes and cabbage on the side 🤮 never again. Box/instant potatoes were used and the pork chop had more breading than meat. Cabbage was watery and very small portion. Way better places to eat from !.

Today is January 4th 2025 and it's my second visit to Nikki's place restaurant. My first visit was exceptional everything was positive positive positive. This is my second review and there will not be a third because I will not go back.
I called 35 minutes and placed my order before getting there. There were five people standing inside the door in front of me. I waited 20 minutes and was never acknowledged or spoke to. I had to stop the young girl and inquire about my order. Another 15 minutes standing there waiting as the young girl was very friendly with the other guest that were sitting down she never got back to me. I flagged the girl again by putting my hand in the air after standing 35 minutes at the door and never being acknowledged. She inform me she would go back and check on my order she came back out and said it will just be a few minutes. She was very nice very polite. 40 minutes later after calling in my order 35 minutes prior... I flagged the girl down again and she informed with me they just started cooking my order. He informed me because I did not pay over the phone they do not cook it until I get there. The very nice lady on the phone that took my order did not inform me I needed to pay for them to start preparing my order. I finally after an hour get home with my food and this was nothing like my first visit there. I ordered the smothered pork chops with mac and cheese collard greens and potato salad. The pork chops were paper thin and there was more bones than there was meat on these two very small very very thin pork chops. The collard greens were great. The potato salad was not the quality that I received on my first visit a month ago And the only thing good about the mac and cheese was the cheese that was melted on the top. This was such a bad experience I will not be going back for a third trip. It's a shame because my first experience there in November was perfect The food was great The pork chops were an inch thick the mac and cheese was great The potato salad was great. But....... This was definitely not worth $28. The quality that I received today was something I would expect at waffle House or IHOP. Sorry Nikki you lost the customer.
