Very good! The maki rolls are so good and light on the rice so you can enjoy the other ingredients. They also have happy hour on the weekend which is cool. Highly recommend!

We usually have an enjoyable experience here, but the last time we went left a lot to be desired. Harumaki were extremely greasy, and flavors were just off overall on our sushi and entrees. Our server, Dung, was less than accommodating and rarely checked on us. If you’re going to joke around with customers and continuously tell them “no” when asking questions or requesting certain things, at least have a personality. Our sushi roll was also missing scallops and we never expect anything for free, but we were charged full price for the roll and was barely offered an apology. We won’t be coming back.

This was our first time here and it was for our anniversary dinner. The staff, food, ambiance all were amazing! Our waiter was so friendly, and made a great recommendation on Sake! We decided to order 6 different rolls to share. This has to be the freshest sushi we have ever had and we've had sushi all over the country. Honestly if we could eat here once a week we would 100% be doing that. On top of the AMAZING sushi, they brought us fried ice cream for our anniversary and remembered that we had mentioned it was our 8 year wedding anniversary. We will be going back and will be telling our friends about the restaurant. So happy to find our new favorite sushi spot!

We loved this place! The atmosphere was relaxing, music was good, service was pleasant, food was quick to come out and delicious. They also brought out a dessert with a sparkler to celebrate my husbands birthday which we didn’t anticipate, but appreciated tremendously! Such a great experience overall!

Restaurantji Recommends
As a local that frequented Totoya, we could notice the slow degradation on service, particularly the Manager, but never expected the level of mistreatment that ramped up during our last visits in 4/2025 and 5/2025. Maybe it was our casual dress code or maybe his tired look took over his hospitality but we definitely haven't (nor will) return.
Initially bummed because the food is nice - now we're super happy because we wouldn't have discovered Neveyah rest a block away. Superior food, more spacious, more relax (not surrounded by other rest), parking and even valet for those driving.

Don’t waste your time or your money here — pure chaos and a rip-off.
We had the worst dining experience we’ve had in a long time at this restaurant. We came in looking forward to a nice meal, but instead we got slow service, ridiculous prices, and a manager who couldn’t care less about their customers.
My wife waited almost an hour for her “crazy roll”—a simple deep-fried roll that should take minutes — while tables all around us finished their food and left. We tried to follow up, thinking there might be a mix-up, but the manager was dismissive, annoyed, and openly acted as if we were a nuisance for asking about it. So much for honoring your diners’ time and loyalty.
The waitress was the only glimmer of kindness in this mess — apologetic, understanding, and clearly stranded by a restaurant team that drops the ball and then doubles down with awful service.
And the food itself? I ordered their $25 premium roll, expecting something worth the price tag. What I received was a sad piece of food barely the size of my index finger — a complete rip-off. This isn’t premium; this is highway robbery. We've had much better at much better establishments.
Save yourself the frustration and the insult. There are plenty of Japanese restaurants that appreciate their customers, serve food that’s worth the price, and know how to treat diners with dignity and fairness. This place is a mess. Trying to pawn itself off as upscale but with bottom shelf customer service.
We ended up walking right next door to F&D Cantina and had an incredible experience — warm service, generous food, strong drinks — everything we hoped for in a night out. It just goes to show there’s a dramatic difference when a restaurant actually values its customers.
Anticipating their boilerplate response — the kind where they blame a busy night or say they’re “working on training their team”— save it. We saw how much you cared when we were there. All we ask is that you do better. Or, honestly, just get out of the restaurant business if you’re not up to the task. Pretty simple.

We always have a great experience there which is why I chose this location for my birthday dinner. We reserved the VIP room we had 8 guest but it seats up to 10. The menu is phenomenal and we got to request our favorite server Jessica. She's the best.
