Ootoya offers a good lunch for their sushi menu! I've been here twice recently and the quality of the sushi never disappoints! Staff are also attentive and nice! The place has a pretty cool interior as well! I will be back here again!

I've been here twice to dine in, one time for dinner and one time for lunch. They have a good happy hour. The seating outside is perfect when the weather is good. I enjoy the sweet potato and cream cheese sushi. The lunch special comes with two rolls and soup or salad. It comes with 6 pieces and I've been to places that serve 8 pieces for the same price. I had the soup and my friend had the salad and both were good. The cocktails taste good. The waiter Nam was great during my last visit. When I've gotten take out, service has been slow. Like all place now, there is an extra charge for spicy mayo. There is no real convenient parking, there's the parking garage behind the restaurant which is $4.00 for up to an hour. I enjoy this area and Lake Eola is great to walk around before or after your meal.

A good place for dinner. Service was good! Food was good. I had the spicy edamame which were 5/5. A rainbow roll, which was super refreshing and tasty. Finished with a miso soup. We were here for a large bday which went very smooth. Overall, good spot for lunch or dinner. Good sushi for the price. No parking in front, but there is a garage in the back or street parking.

Caution Advised for Those with Allergies.I attended a dinner at this sushi establishment around 5:30 PM today with high hopes for a delightful meal. As a sushi aficionado with a serious sesame allergy, I made my dietary restrictions clear from the outset to our server Tyler. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by what seemed to be a casual approach to food allergies. My initial appetizer arrived sprinkled with sesame ingredients, which I could visually detect. This first oversight set a tone of unease for the rest of the meal, as I was left uncertain about the presence of sesame in my subsequent orders. Despite my efforts to double-check each dish, the reassurance I sought was not forthcoming. In seeking clarity and safety in my dining experience, I requested to speak to a manager, only to be informed that none was on duty. My subsequent attempt to converse with the chef was met with the impractical suggestion that I venture into the kitchen myself, as the chef was not amenable to leaving his post to address my concerns. While the flavor and quality of the sushi were commendable, the lack of serious attention to a potentially life-threatening issue such as a food allergy was deeply disappointing. Moreover, the inflexibility to accommodate modifications in sushi orders was peculiar, given that each dish is supposedly made to order. For those with food allergies or sensitivities, I would urge caution when considering dining here. The nonchalant attitude towards customer health concerns has led me to the decision to patronize Kabooki Sushi instead, which is conveniently located nearby and, I lmow, demonstrates a more conscientious approach to customer care.In summary, while the cuisine itself was quite enjoyable, the management of food allergies and staff left much to be desired. It's a stark reminder that the safety and comfort of restaurants should be paramount, and it is regrettable that this was not reflected in my experience.

I've never been here before, but I'll definitely be visiting again the next time I'm in the area! The server was super nice and friendly throughout, even though I went by myself, which means less tips. I really appreciate that! I tried the ankimo (monkfish liver) and it was really delicious, though also super filling! I barely had room for the fantastic crispy spare ribs, so I took the rest home for dinner. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, though I chose the patio since it was a lovely day, and it doesn't disappoint either! This meal definitely made my day, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful indulgence.Parking: The restaurant's website suggests Thornton Park Central Parking Garage at 22 N Summerlin Ave for people picking up orders, so I parked there to dine in. It's around the corner and down the block from Ootoya.

We ate at the Sushi bar. We were able to see the fresh seafood they had on display at the sushi bar. We enjoyed all the sushi and sashimi we had. We also had rhe Goyaza whixh tasted freshly made and not frozen. Angela, our waitress was Great. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and what was on the sushi. We would Highly recommend trying this place. We will be back. The only critic we would give would be for the sushi makers to at least say hi or even narate what they are doing or even recommend sushi.

I’ve been to a lot of sushi places lately, most of them falling flat and having extremely average sushi. Ootoya made me fall in love with Sushi all over again. The service was fantastic, our waiter was attentive and speedy with our order. The sashimi was fresh, especially the toro & the hot food cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely be stopping by again next time I’m in Orlando.
