Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar

Unfortunately, I cannot review the food. My family of 5 was very excited for a nice dinner after a long day. We were seated for close to 15 minutes without any sort of greeting or acknowledgment. This is fine — we are patient people. However, staff and servers continually passed by us without a simple, “we will be right with you.” We felt extremely uncomfortable and very disappointed. We got up and left.

The take out process is terrible. You have to awkwardly wait at the bar to get a bartenders attention to put in a to-go order, it’s not possible to place with the hostess or by phone like any other restaurant. The bartender was pretty rude once I finally got her attention to order. Then, you have to try to find a place to awkwardly wait for your order. Pricey and the food was honestly not good, but I was just desperate after a long flight. Spicy salmon roll smelled like old fish, so nasty.

Wow! What a meal in this gorgeous hotel bar. The sushi was over the top fantastic and not too expensive. The service by Tyreka was exceptional.

Really good sushi!! Super fresh, great size rolls. Truly enjoyed dinner here with the family after a day in the parks. Excellent service, casual and quiet atmosphere. Just what we needed after a day of excitement and park food. Thank you.

Had such great food and service here our first night at Universal park that we returned for dinner the second night! Our server from the first evening noticed, came by, and remembered that we had enjoyed a green tea and noted it to our server so they offered it and a similar dessert. It just felt great and we would definitely return.
The sushi boat plus a 3rd salad was enough for 3 of us.

20 minute wait. Plenty of open tables.

Food had a slightly long wait time. However, the quality of food made up for it. Total for 4 people came down to 180$ which is quite expensive.

Yum!!! We sat at the bar and were served so quickly. Our rolls came out fresh and tasted delicious. It was pretty warm in there, but I’m not sure if the ac was broken.

The food here was a 10/10. The wait for the food was a 2/10. We sat at the bar and we got our drinks pretty quickly. The bartenders seemed a bit bothered to wait on us. Not rude. But not friendly or helpful either. We ordered apps and 2 sushi rolls and we waited. And waited. It was not crowded at all when we got there and, while I’d did get busier, it was not a busy night. When we finally started to get annoyed the bartender said “let me check on your food” and it was magically brought out then. Our apps first then our rolls right behind them. My drink was nothing special - an old fashioned that tasted like bourbon over regular ice.
The food, however, was delicious!! The tuna tartar and the tuna sushi app were amazing!
Our rolls were fresh and delicious and (almost) worth the wait. I would return for the food.

This bar singlehandedly brings us back to Royal Pacific and Universal in general when we are planning our next getaway. The relaxed atmosphere, delicious sushi, and personable staff make for a truly memorable experience time and time again.

Even on a busy Friday night, our server (Deysi) was extremely attentive. We were there for my daughter‘s birthday and they brought her candy with balloons attached to it a special dessert and sung to her. Not very many places make a fuss about birthdays anymore, and it was so sweet that they did.

The food was very tasty and the price is were decent as well. Portion sizes were perfect. Really love the ambience as well. They have a big TV for watching sports on the opposite side as the dining area but it’s hard to get seats to that when it’s super busy. We could sort of see it from where we were seated, but we weren’t there to watch the game anyway!

I ordered a vegetarian dish one night ago and specifically asked them not to add tofu because I do not like tofu. They totally ignored my request and gave me a plateful of tofu. Needless to say I could only eat a small portion of the food and left all the tofu uneaten.
When I asked why the waitress said they're charging me for it so they have to give it to me. But effectively they totally ruined my dinner most of which I couldn't eat as a result!!
I would expect the management to reach out to me about this. I'm a regular customer, returning customer and I'm very unhappy about this experience.
