We have been going to the physical location in Oviedo to pick out our meals for a couple of months and have since mostly stopped cooking at home. These meals give us everything we are looking for and more. As empty nesters, we want to eat healthy and something portioned to what just the 2 of us need. These meals are not just healthy, they are delicious with the variety changing every week. We have to come on Tuesdays after work because meals sell out fast and they stay open waiting for us because we have become like family and they know when to expect us. We would give them 10 stars!

I think it saves more in grocery bills at the end of the day, I am always eating real food instead of resorting to snacking, and I do not know where I would find the time to do the extra grocery shopping and meal prep. And still love the options after a year! I’m also very lucky to have the local delivery, so convenient.

We have used Fire Department Meals for 4 months now. These meals have great portions and have great ingredients. We initally tried factor meals and were less than impressed with the amount of unhealthy fats and low protein contents. Fire Department meals have really helped my family stay on top of nutrition while working way too many hours in the health care field. Thank you for providing a healthy option for those needing prepared meals!

I'd give Fire Department Meals more than 5 stars if I could - I've had such an incredibly positive experience with them! I've tried many meal services, and as a (formerly and somewhat competitive) athlete my demands are high. So without writing a full dissertation here's an abbreviated list of what I love about FDM: (i) the ingredients are first rate; (ii) the selection is really good, creative recipes are cooand they change it up too (no boredom factor); (iii) friggin yummy - totally delish!; (iv) very reasonable price; (v) very convenient - I can eat fresh, or freeze and microwave later and they're still awesome; (vi) their mission is badass; and (vii) their customer service is *epic*! I've consumed a lot of their calories on various matters, including mistakes I made in ordering as well as a couple of UPS delivery hiccups, and every time they make it right - even at cost to themselves. My view is that real customer loyalty is earned with problems, and FMD keeps squaring things away. First rate operation and a business I want to support!

Would not recommend as you will not be taken care of if your package is damaged or delivered late. They shipped my package out on 1/14 and then there were weather delays and it didn’t make it to me until end of day the 17th. All the meals were completely thawed and warm, plus 2 were busted open from the dry ice and leaking everywhere which was causing a horrible smell. I tried filing a UPS claim and they told me I need to keep the entire box AND all the meals so they could come “inspect” it, but that it would take several days before they could come out. I’m sorry, but I am not putting leaking food containers and spoiled food in my fridge nor leaving it out to stink up my house. I then tried to file a dispute with my bank since UPS was giving me unreasonable options and it was denied. I’m now out $170 and 12 meals which is incredibly upsetting. I will not be using this company again not recommending them to anyone.

Some departments have a guy or two that love to cook and make great meals. Some don’t. Don’t let yourself go without tasty food made by a firefighter. These meals are not only delicious but they’re healthy, full of stuff your body needs to be at its peak performance. The portions are perfect, they taste like your mom made them and they come in convenient single serve packs, easy to prepare in the microwave, a pot, or in the oven, depending on what you choose. The meatloaf…. Omg! It’s soooo good! The Salisbury steak! The chicken pot pie, the Mac and cheese with bbq pork, the creamy chicken, the stew, all have great names like Cheif’s Mac and cheese. You could find a few you like and always have them on hand or you could get something different every time, there are so many choices! No antibiotics, fresh, local produce, deliciously prepared for hungry firefighters who care about what they put in their body. I have never been disappointed and have tried at least 20 different meals. So awesome!!!
