Stopped in for Magical Dining. Was a bit skeptical because of the reviews but so glad I went! Everything tasted great! The server was friendly and knowledgeable. A little more attentive would have been nice as we did have to flag our server down a few times. Would def recommend!

so I tried this place earlier this month with a friend and had a great experience The food was delicious, great drink selection and friendly service. I raved about how good this place was and decided to make another reservation with another friend. Our reservation was for 5:30pm and after struggling to find parking, we made it in at 5:44, a minute before their 15 minute grace period was up. When we checked in with the host, she fingered the computer for a while, asked for the name and then informed us they had already given our table away to other guests and their next available would be at 9:15pm. First of all, we got there with a minute to spare--had the host asked the name and looked us up upon first interaction, it would have been within the cut-off time. Secondly, how was our table already given to someone else when our 15 minute grace period hadn't even ended yet? We were repulsed by the rude behavior and unwillingness to work with us, we were willing to wait but being told 4hrs for a table is ridiculous. We've already informed our friends and coworkers that this place is a bust and we will not be returning. Such a disgrace since it was such a great place the first time around. It's unfortunate that good business practice and courtesy isn't something of value to this restaurant.

Last night of Magical Dining. Food was really good. Got the fish dip, rope vieja and tres leches. The tres leches was great. Plenty of good drinks to choose from, you wont go wrong.

I think this is a chill and cozy place to hangout with friends. Reservation is easy to make. It was a Cuban style food, and everything was good. Cocktails were also nice!

My friends and I were really looking forward to dining at Otto’s High Dive, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing.

The food took a long time to arrive, and when it finally did, it was poorly executed. From start to finish, we were at the table for 2 and half hours for dinner and desserts, which is atrocious for a busy Saturday night, at times, it felt like we were being held hostage by the lack of pace by staff. Unsure if that was a kitchen or staffing issue though, I would suggest that they remedy that quickly.

When our food was delivered the wait staff didn’t announce what temperature the steaks were done at, (example: “skirt steak, mid rare”) we had to ask (because we all ordered different temperatures and 2 of us ordered the same thing at different temperatures) they just announced the dish, leading to some confusion between entrees.

Cutting into our food, we found that one ribeye and two skirt steaks were all overcooked. We immediately sent the overcooked steaks back, as for the price, a steak cooked correctly is the expectation.

Three out of four entrées being sent back should have been enough to prompt the manager to check on us automatically, but instead we had to specifically ask for him, which felt dismissive.

When he did come over, the interaction didn’t do much to make up for the situation. Whist fixing our food, the fixed food all came out at significantly different times (my skirt steak coming out close to 10 minutes before the other skirt steak and my husbands Ribeye) our other friend had to sit awkwardly and watch us eat, because his food was correct on the first pass.

To make matters worse, the rum cake we ordered was so heavy-handed with rum that it was almost inedible.

For the price and hype surrounding this restaurant, the quality and service fell far short of expectations.

The one bright spot was our server, who remained polite, attentive, and friendly throughout the night despite everything.

Overall, Otto’s High Dive felt overhyped and not worth the cost

I loved Otto’s. Reservations were definitely needed here. The atmosphere is beautiful but it gets loud because of the tile floors. The food was fantastic overall. I wish the orange tree leches had more orange flavor, it was basically a plain tres leches. The Ropa Vieja is delicious, very soft and juicy. The appetizers were refreshing and well balanced. Can’t wait to go back!

We went for a celebration with a group of 12. They gave us separate tables, which we understood because of space, but everything after that was a mess.
• Service was very slow.
• Drinks took a long time to arrive.
• Appetizers came out at the same time as the main dishes.
• All the food was cold.
• The staff didn’t know which plate belonged to which person.
• Some dishes were incomplete when served.

Everything felt disorganized and delayed, with little attention from the staff. The only good thing was that the drinks tasted good, but I would never come back.

Service was good and the drinks were okay. Being Cuban myself, I was excited for the food but the meat seemed dry and pretty basic compared to some other Cuban spots. I’d go back but would probably just skip the main dishes. It’s more of a drink spot.

We stopped in for a late Sunday lunch after walking Leu Gardens. Lunch was all good, the dessert was the highlight. The Brown Butter Rum Cake with Coconut Lime curd was off the charts!
If you’re driving east on Robinson, the street side sign says Neighborhood Rum Bar. The Otto’s High Dive sign is smaller and easily missed.

Otto’s Drive in Orlando delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and efficient—setting the tone for a memorable evening. While waiting for a table, the outdoor craft cocktail bar proved to be a standout feature. The bartender’s passion and skill were evident in every pour, making the wait feel like part of the experience rather than a delay.

Once seated, the food was nothing short of spectacular. The crab salad was fresh and vibrant, the fish dip rich and flavorful, and the lobster escabeche a true showstopper.

Otto’s blends atmosphere, hospitality, and culinary excellence with effortless charm.
