This business has closed. It was one of our favorites. It has a location in south Florida in the city of Plantation.

So I LOVED this place. My husband and I drive an hour to get here! We love the food and the service is wonderful as well. My favorite part is the singer on Saturday night. We won't go anymore, because they don't have him anymore. :(He was the best part! Please bring him back! This used to be my favorite restaurant that I would choose for my birthday.

Went myself to enjoy dinner and sat at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I first started with the coconut Mojito which was tasty but a little on the sweet side. I had the plantain chips with the excellent garlic dipping sauce. Yummy. For dinner I had the skirt steak with the chimichurri sauce. It came with beans and I substituted a salad for the rice. I was saddened to hear that they will be closing next month but I will definitely try to make it in again before they do. Great dining experience.

It had been a while since we had some good Cuban food and we enjoyed the dishes at Padrino's. The toston appetizer was great. My wife ordered the Paella and was satisfied with the flavor. I ordered the vaca frita. It was well seasoned and flavorful. And very tender. The portoins were massive. It you leave here hungry, you have problems! The only thing we were not thrilled about was the chorizo in the dishes. Honestly it kind of tasted like hot dog. Service was very good.

Came here with Friends from NYC and we wanted to experience real authentic Cuban food. Let me start with the place. Lots of parking, they have outdoor and indoor dining. We opted for inside. The place is very nice, clean and the decorations do say it's a Cuban place. The waitress that we got was extremely very cordial and professional. Now let's talk food. For appetizers we had the Picadillo Empanadas, which are only two very small empanadas cut in half. I was not impressed. Another appetizer we ordered was the Fiesta Tostones. This appetizer was very good and it's plenty for a crowd of 4. Now to the food my hubby and friends opted for the Palomilla, which is a thin steak topped with sautéed onions. This is served with white rice, black beans and maduros. I had a bite of my hubby's and this was very good. My dish was the white rice, black beans, maduros and Ropa Vieja. I chose "Ropa Vieja" because I've heard is a typical Cuban dish and I was curious as to what it was. I was not impressed. I felt like I was eating "Puerto Rican Corned Beef" but much harder. It was super red and too saucy for my taste. The taste was just well not that impressive. I ended up eating my rice and beans and did not finish the meat. That's when I took a few bites from my husband's steak. I know that this bad experience will not prevent me from trying "Ropa Vieja" again. Maybe I will but not here. I have to find me a Cuban friend that cooks and see how it taste from somewhere else. Last but not least we had the house Lemonade and oh, my goodness. The best Lemonade I've ever had. Will I come back, sure but I'll make sure to stay away from the "Ropa Vieja." Other than that all was very good!

Decent but no more. I've had worse, but also better. The ambiance is good, it's decent overall. That's the most genuine appraisal I can give. Nothing is horrible, but nothing on the menu stands out either.

While visiting Florida, my wife and i decided to try Padrino's. We moved to Denver over 20 years ago, and truely miss authentic Cuban cuisine. Padrino's delivered on all counts. We ordered Fiesta Tostones as an appetizer, followed by Lechon Asada and Seafood Paella. portions were generous and flavors were spot on. the pork was rendered masterfully, perfectly tender, juicy and lean. The setting was pleasant, the restaurant clean and inviting, and amble parking. Service was impeccable. If you haven't tried Padrino's, dont let another week go by until you do!

I have no idea where these good reviews are coming from. We went one time and will never go back. We ordered empanadas for an appetizer and they were very very bland. Then we ordered the steak and ground beef with rice- again both were so bland and oily. The only good thing from this place was their flan, but unfortunately mine arrived with a hair on top. She brought us another. We won't be back here. Food made our stomachs very ill because of how oily everything was. No seasoning and not even that hot coming out.

Had a fantastic paella at Padrinos. The ambiance at the restaurant was relaxing yet very welcoming, as service was super attentive.

My family in I were in town visiting from southern California and in the mood for Cuban cuisine. We noticed this restaurant had good reviews. We were all glad we stopped in. Service was great, and the food was delicious! I has Lechen de Puerco and my wife had the Churrasco with Shrimp. This restaurant was probably the best meal we had in town. Even my picky kids enjoyed their food! We are ?% coming back! Thank You!

I'm always in the mood to eat Cuban food so I'm lucky this gem is less than 15 minutes away from us. I've never actually eaten inside of the restaurant only to-go but my experience has always been great. My food is always ready for me when I arrive and is piping hot. My boyfriend is Cuban and originally from Miami and it gets his official pass, lol! We normally order vaca frita, ropa vieja or I'll get the bistec encebolló with white rice, black beans and yucca. The servings are large and the food is always flavorful and fresh

The empanadas tastes like hamburger helper. The pescado a la plancha tasted old and the Maduros wasn't even cooked. And the service was less than average. This is the most inauthentic Cuban food I've ever had.

I ordered online 2 Cubans ?horrible! They were cold and the pork had the consistency and after taste of Bologna ? But the very polite and outgoing lady I spoke to Myra was very accommodating and professional. Excellent Customer service! Because of Myra, I am going to visit again, sometime this weekend, to give their Cuban another shot. update coming soon?
