Authentic Italian Delight in Orlando!
We had a fantastic dining experience at Papa Lozzi Italia. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a family dinner. We tried the lasagna alla Bolognese and the spaghetti alla carbonara, both dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The homemade pasta and sauces truly stood out. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. If you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine in Orlando, this is the place to go!

We’ve been eating here since it opened about 6 years ago and always enjoyed it. There are so few non-chain restaurants in east Orlando so it was nice to have this as an option. Unfortunately, things have changed. Maybe it’s new ownership or management everything has gone downhill. They didn’t have the ingredients to make a proper margarita, only 2 beers to choose from. I ordered the veal piccata which was okay but very tough to chew. Our server was a nice young man but not very attentive. When we walked in at 8:05 pm on Friday night, we were the only diners there. Now I know why. I’m sorry to see this place going down so much and will be surprised if they are still open in 3 months.

So sad. This little hidden away Italian restaurant used to be a rare find of great authentic Italian food and superb service. Now, however, evidently due to a change of ownership and management, it's gone so far down hill that I doubt we will ever return. Our server was polite but lacking. We had to ask for straws, our salads, water refills, etc. Although the place was not busy, only one other table occupied other than ours, we waited an overly long time for our food. Our Calamari appetizer was quite good but sadly, our lasagna entrees were horrible. Edges were burned, the pasta stiff and chewy, the sauce tasted like canned, and some parts cold. We've honestly had frozen lasagna that tasted better! When asked, our server sheepishly admitted it had been previously prepared (how long ago?) and then microwaved. Hardly what we expected from a place that supposedly prides itself on freshly prepared cuisine. In recompense they did comp us desserts (which were delicious) but no other consideration. Then to top off our poor experience, while waiting for our desserts the staff began sweeping floors and stacking chairs on the tables even though it was about an hour before closing time. They obviously didn't want to be there any longer than we did!

Small place but the food was good. They had 5 specials on the board including seafood dishes. Everyone was happy with their choices

Great food!!!! If you want, fresh, made from scratch, authentic Italian food this restaurant is worth a visit. Wines, red or white are a plus. Thank you for providing great food and service.

So great!!! Fast service. So fast we held back our dinner order so we could take our time enjoying our app. Everything was fresh, no sandbagging, and it was packed with flavor! We never felt rushed or ignored. An incredibly rare chance to enjoy a meal at our pace without having to do the dishes afterward.

Very nice family owned Italian restaurant. This restaurant has never disappointed us. The quality of the food is among the top 2% of Italian restaurants I've eaten at anywhere across the world.

Absolutely amazing experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was top-notch, and the food—wow. From the fresh, flavorful bruschetta to the perfectly cooked handmade pasta and rich sauces, everything was authentic and delicious. The tiramisu was the perfect sweet ending. Easily one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommended! My server Kyle was top tier, great guy!

Fairly good food, but they only have 1 single person to cover all bases (bartending, waiting, hosting, cashiering, etc... This is very disappointing.

This place has some delicious options, but it’s a bit of a gamble—kind of like rolling the dice at a Vegas buffet. Sometimes the food is on point, other times it feels like the salt shaker had a personal vendetta against my taste buds.

Now, let’s talk ambiance. While they seem to love posting celebrities on their social media, I humbly suggest they redirect some of that energy toward fixing the holes in the benches and upgrading the cleanliness. I’ve lost count of how many times my family and I have been seated at a booth with mystery splatters decorating the walls—ironically, right under framed photos of famous faces. It had me wondering, “Is this the very booth Nick Anderson himself dines at?” Because if so, I have questions. I even dared my husband to call him and ask if his visits are responsible for the sunken-in seats, but he refused. (Coward.)

Service? It’s a mixed bag. Sometimes great, sometimes it feels like our server went on a side quest and forgot to return. And while I can tolerate a little wait, what I can’t tolerate is eating at a table that looks like it just survived a food fight.

In all seriousness, I don’t say this to be mean—just honest. The celebrity hype is strong, but the restaurant itself needs some TLC. Hopefully, they clean up their act (literally), and maybe we’ll give it another shot in the future. But for now, we’re taking a break.
