Food was pretty good but staff is completely disorganized. Drinks didn’t come until after our appetizer came out. Watched 2 tables come after us and leave before us. Waiter seemed more interested in socializing than giving good service. To top it off we were charged $10.30 to added a tiny piece of cubed chicken on our penne vodka sauce.

I never do this but today was my first and last time at this restaurant. I came at 3pm with my daughter for a nice meal together. We were given rock hard bread then no return for waters or orders for 18 minutes. It’s a Wednesday and it was not busy. Finally we order our food which came out quick, however, was so incredibly bad tasting. The menu advertised my dish as seafood in a white wine sauce and it had marinara. The same sauce used on my daughter’s spaghetti. You’d think marinara is a safe bet and it was the worst sauce I’ve tasted in my life. I forced myself to eat almost half because I didn’t want my daughter to complain and not eat anything before her sports practice but we just couldn’t. The mussels tasted rotten I had to spit it into the napkin. The shrimp had tail on and was overcooked. The clams were so small and practically non-existent. I never saw the original server again. However, I did notice a family of 3 who sat minutes after us got to leave before we did (again poor service.) I still tipped 20% but left all the food and let the server know I didn’t enjoy the meal or want it to go. $50 down the drain and our “nice meal/date” was ruined. It’s now been 3 hours since leaving and I feel VERY sick. I am praying this doesn’t turn into food poisoning. If it does, I will report it.

Pizza is 5/5
Carbonara is lukewarm and use bacon??? Both menu and my experience last year is pancetta.
Lobster ravioli is simply diabolical. This is Feb 23rd. Even server admitted the heart shaped undercooked ravioli is made for Valentine's.... At a simple price of $37....

Wow, where to begin…. It hurts me to rate this place 2 stars but management and owners of this place need to hear this as it used to be a 5 out 5 it really does hurt me to leave a bad review. I’ve ordered pastas, pizzas and desserts, all great, some I preferred more than others and same for my wife one thing we agreed on was that the flavor used to be there, one plate on their menu had me hooked, the spaghetti alla carbonara which had been fantastic up until today when it showed to my door step looking like a pasta covered with half a dozen semi boiled eggs mixed with cheap bacon!!! “Bacon”IS NOT “pancetta!”!!!’The other pasta we ordered was also a huge miss…. I could over look the lack of salt seasoning on pasta, however this plate called Pappardelle Mare e Monti not only lacked seasoning on the shrimp, mushrooms and the supposedly “creamy” cognac sauce but it also lacked the “wild mushrooms” served with champignon mushrooms which made the entire plate smell and taste of it an earthy flavor. Did we fire the chef? Did we not train staff efficiently? Did we ran out of core ingredients and technique? Or did we just gave up?

We ordered food from their website (they outsource) and the third party left our food out on the street. My husband called about the order and they said to call back tomorrow that they don't have any way of contacting their 3rd party.

I called the restaurant and the manager literally yelled at, he made me cry. He is now on the phone with my husband and his tune has changed and is still blaming the third party vendor which they claim they do not have access to contact yet they leverage them as their third party on their website

Me and my boyfriend decided to come here again because we loved the food last time we went. However, the experience we had this time will make us never go back. We showed up around 8pm and the restaurant closed at 9:30. I am very conscious of this since I used to be a server so I always check prior. I think an hour and a half is a completely reasonable time to order and eat food. The older woman working the hostess desk clearly did not agree and made a big show of “trying to find us a table” and glaring at us. She continued this when she brought us the menus, just kept glaring at us as if we didn’t come in when the doors were open. Hardly spoke a word to us as well. If you want to go home earlier, close earlier. After she brought the menus, we got up and left as we felt uncomfortable.

Came for the first time for a birthday dinner. This place is so confusing and not worth your money. The service was awful, there was an older lady, I assume the owner, who seemed in a bad mood and would just keep walking away from our table and ignoring us for the most part. Part of our party got there a little earlier than the rest and they ignored them and didn't bring them water or bread. Other servers were standing around, it wasn't busy. The oil in the table is diluted with something maybe water, it's weird. The food portions were ridiculous, they were so small especially for the price and not like shown in pictures online. The food also wasn't good, it was bland and boring. The tiramisu at Publix is better than this place. To make matters worse, when they got something wrong the owner lady blamed us! Will never be back and will never recommend. I don't even know what these good reviews are about, nothing about this place was good.

1. food is horrible. Alfredo pasta is one of the worst that I have had. Food is extremely blend. The pizza or the pasta taste about the same.
2. olive oil is deluded in water. Gross.
3. wine list impossible to choose a decent wine.
4. it has 2 TVs from left channel all the time
I tried 2 times and in both I had the same feeling
5. Singer OMG obnoxious

I tried it twice and both times my experience couldn't have been worse.

Terrible food, poor wine list, poorly made dessert (tiramisu) and the atmosphere was awful. Loud music with a horrible singer, with no voice.

The lady who welcomes you at the front must be the owner and is in a very bad mood.

Finally the price is absolutely outrageous for what is offered.

Piazza Italia is hands down our favorite restaurant in Lake Nona. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can really feel the family behind it — most of the staff are family and from Italy. The mom welcomes you at the reception, while the sons and dad work their magic in the kitchen. The food is absolutely incredible, and the authentic Italian touch is evident in every bite. You can even hear the dad sing Italian songs while he cooks, adding a special charm to the experience. We love everything about this place!

Beautiful Italian food. I’ve lived in Italy for many years and it’s hard to find traditional simple homemade Italian food here. This place has got it all the way down to the atmosphere. Beautiful establishment

The food is really bland. I am having a hard time rating the restaurant. I support local businesses, but it's difficult for me to say that the taste of the food doesn't matter. I hope they can change this and make things better."
