We made a reservation for my 40th birthday. There was a snafu with ordering tea time, which they were apologetic and we were really fine with it. But then, we ordered an appetizer and some food. We planned to course, enjoy and really take our time having a special night. All our food came minutes after ordering it on a tiny table. All of it. We couldn’t eat it all that fast. We felt extremely rushed and it just killed the night. We ended up taking food to go and I left in tears. Truly, ruined my birthday dinner that I’d looked forward to for some time. Very, very disappointed.
My wife and I went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted something different than our usual steakhouse dinner. Very cool place and experience.

The restaurant was absolutely stunning with its secret entrance being a highlight. However, the food and drinks were quite expensive, but the memorable experience made up for it. The food was delicious and bursting with flavor. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and hospitality. They even kept our water glasses full, which was a nice touch. While we were there, a drunken man invited himself to our table and bought us drinks. Despite his intoxication, he was polite and engaging. However, we politely declined his offer to pay for our dinner and he became slightly upset. Thankfully, the restaurant staff were alert and made us feel safe and protected. As we left, we noticed the man waiting for us outside, but the staff quickly stepped in and escorted us to our car. We are grateful for the excellent service and protection provided by the staff. Thank you for everything.

Great experience!
What
the whole experience! Went with a couple of friends and we tried a couple of things. For food, we did the edamame, 2 rolled (branzino, rainbow) and tuna tartare. For the edamame, for dairy free - remove parm and ask for it to be cooked without the butter (wish they had signs on their menus...). The Branzino roll was decent, a bit more on the fishy side for me but it was fresh and light. The rainbow roll was also decent, I was the menu was a little more descriptive.. I also got a couple of the cocktails cause that's what they are known for right?! I got the colada and also the freaky franky and they were both on the sweeter sides but still very tasty and has the experience to it. I also tried the Tea-Ki time which was also an experience! The tea concoction had a bunch of stuff but it was tasty tea.
Environment
This has a secret entrance, reservations recommended. This was VERY VERY VERY thoroughly decorated! A lot of thoughts put into this. Very themed. There quite a number of seats inside.
Niceness of the staff
Very nice staff to do the experiences, knowing people would want to take photos etc. Also since everything is tapas style, they took orders and brought orders as you order.
Dollar
IT WAS EXPENSIVE. For me, this is not a regular casual outing spot, it is more of a special occasion outing for me. The range for drinks are near 20$ for the cocktails and a roll was also in the 20s.

Just Wow. Super different experience, at least for the Orlando norm. Put this spot on your list to get to ASAP.
I don't even know where to begin, but let's start with the vibes. Nola/Voodoo Lounge/Asian/Speakeasy/Great Spot.
Service was great from the hostess, to the server, to the food runner, to the floor manager.
Now the food and drinks. Got the Freaky Franky, which is set on fire at presentation. It's a rum based drink and really really good. Also got the Demon Lover, which for the old heads will take you back with the pop rocks touch. It's a tequila based drink and was amazing.
We ordered the Pork Gyoza and Thai Chili Pork Belly Baos. Cooked perfectly, busting with distinct flavors in every bite. For our mains we got the Main Lobster, Unagi Royale, and the Branzino rolls. The lobster roll is toped with shrimp and Lobster and just great. The Unagi which is BBQ Eel and wow. The Branzino which was our server's recommendation was the perfect combo of ingredients, but was the herbs hot oil is what set the roll over the top.
Highly highly highly recommend visiting Roka Hula!

Restaurantji Recommends
So Let me be upfront I believe everything is relative to price and expense. For example you may have good food but automatically charge 18% gratuity. This is applied no matter what your party size is. In my opinion, therefore your food and your service BETTER be 5 star or higher because the fact you removed choice from the customer and are forcing a gratuity charge on them.
This is where I see that this restaurant faulters. The Sushi was OK at best and would not recommend the place for the sushi. The Lobster on the Lobster roll was dry and the smoked tuna was ok. But 18% gratuity for just ok? also not to mention it was $22 for the roll, were it another place in town it would be $6 -$10. So the food it is ridiculously priced. The Service was great but again it better be because whether you like it or not your paying a good tip. The main reason you should go to this place is for the unique atmosphere it offers. but make no mistake you will pay a lot for this experience.

WOW! This is a 10/10 experience in Orlando and something that was seriously missing from the row. We had an incredible evening of delicious food and cocktails! Our server, Ashley G, was so knowledgeable, kind, and so fun to be around! She 100 percent made the experience what it was. We truly cannot wait to come back!

Me and my brother went to Roka hula and enjoyed the phenomenal meal. We had tedious Josh and Julia behind the bar. If if I was on death row and I had one choice for a meal, I would pick the Thai chili Bob and the buffalo beef on wack sushi roll. That is how good it is. Love this place!!!
Julia did an excellent job serving our party of 8.
My friend took me to Roka for my birthday. What a funky, unique and well-curated menu! The cocktails tell a story, I bet the walls do too. ?
