Let me start out by saying the service and attention to being careful as possible during this pandemic was on point. They have temperature checks before you sit, no silverware on the table, and digital menus. The review is for the food. Two of us had lobster bisque, and I had the Auntie Lei's Aloha Roll. The bisque was too sweet, as if they put too much coconut milk in it. The chunks of lobster helped, but the soup itself needed a lot less coconut flavor. For dinner I had the filet mignon with gruyere scalloped potatoes. The filet was overcooked, but was ok. The potatoes were nothing to write home about either. My husband had the shellfish sampler. Again, it was ok, but nothing stood out. The ambience as well needed some updating. It looks like tables were just thrown together in an empty room. Overall, it was just a so-so meal. While it was a nice experience, there are so many other restaurants that are much better. Won't be returning.

The day Dan Kirby left this place, everything about this once great restaurant went downhill. Since 2004, had dinner here several times a year and their bar staff and Dan always made each visit exceptional from the blackened tuna to the pineapple cake. I felt like I was always welcomed no matter when I came in. It was the best place for any occasion. Even recommended that my best friend get engaged there back in 2006. Went in a few times the last two years and the service was terrible, the pineapple cake was burnt and the new management has neglected to keep this once gorgeous restaurant clean and pretty. One time, I got an email for the Monday pre-fixe that morning and the host that same evening tried to tell us it had ended. It was embarrassing Last visit, there was only one bartender working and couldn't even acknowledge me. Loyal customer of 15 years left and will never come back.

Great food. Great service. Very small crowds and social distancing made everyone feel comfortable. Good to be back out to dinner even in a more controlled environment.

After reading several negative reviews, we were a bit worried to give Roy's a try. To be clear, these negative comments were mostly concerning service. Often, when the service is poor the entire meal and evening is spoiled. Thankfully, we had a much different experience! We were warmly greeted at the door, masks on, temps taken. Our server, Jason, took excellent care of us, a party of 6, throughout our meal, clearing plates and glasses, refilling water and wine. He was knowledgeable regarding meal choices. The meal itself was fabulous. Lobster potstickers were incredibly tasty and the sauce that they were in was out of this world. Sea bass dinner, had by three of us, was delicious. Filet was cooked perfectly, short ribs tender and delicious. We tried all the dessert offerings and all were delicious! I have nothing negative to say about Roy's at all!

We went on Saturday evening for a special birthday celebration. The food was delicious as always. Don't miss their specialty cocktails!

Roy's has been one of my favorites for a long time. This was our 1st visit since Covid started. All staff is wearing masks and gloves, the tables are distanced, your temperature is taken, and guests are required to wear masks to enter. This visit we ordered the Szechuan Ribs, Lobster Pot stickers, Macadamian Mahi, and the Classic Four. Everything was fantastic, the ribs really melt in your mouth! I did have to send back the Mahi (due to some random new food allergy I still haven't figured out), but they graciously replaced with the Miyosaki Butterfish. Our server Theresa (I believe) was amazing. For dessert we ordered the Upside down Pineapple cake (so good), and they also served us a molten chocolate cake for our anniversary. As usual, they did not disappoint, we had a fantastic time. One note, they was a Covid surcharge on the bill, so be aware of this.

This was our first time here. Our recent new friends wanted to go here, they recommended Roy's. If it was not for them we would have walked out. The hostess was rude. Our server was great. No complaints there. I ordered the filet mignon, that is my go-to food item. I do not know what it was, but it def. was not a filet mignon. I would have sent it back but did not want to embarrass our new friends especially since they raved about your food. My husband's dish was average, but not worth the price of it. The steak was def. not med rare. it was well done and the taste of it is, I do not know any other words but to say disgusting. I brought it home had my husband try and his response was feed it to the animals. We love trying new places, we were going to go to STK, which we love but we decided to try Roy's, It was a very disappointing experience.

The drinks were very tasty and with a nice presentation. They have a special on Monday's for entree, lobster and steak with desert for $50.00p.p. The meat was tender, well seasoned and no shortcuts on the rest of the entree. The service was EXCELLENT. Sweet memories. We will be back.????

One of our favorite restaurants in Orlando! The best kids meal in town. Thank you to the best server, James, for always taking great care of our family when we dine with you.

Roy's used to be one of our go-tos, but after this visit, I don't plan on coming back. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday due in part to a $40 coupon I received via email. My husband and I were seated promptly upon our arrival, even prior to our reservation time, but that is where the good part of this visit ends. The booth where we were seated was tattered and torn, it took an exceptional amount of time to be greated by our server, we had to ask for edamame, and were not provided with hot towels to wipe our hands as we were accustomed to from visits past. I ordered a mixed drink and my husband, a beer. We ordered an appetizer, a salad to split, a dish from the regular menu, and a dish from the seasonal menu. Our salad did not arrive until after our main course was brought to the table and when we presented the coupon upon paying, were told that management would not honor the coupon due to me ordering off the seasonal menu - mind you, the dish I ordered was $49. Nonetheless, we paid our $175 bill, suggested that the manager use the $40 from my coupon to repair the ratty bench seat, and promised never to return as there could be better food, better quality, better service, and better ambiance found elsewhere.

We made a reservation for a Special Occasion with my mother for 11 am Brunch in advanced, upon arrival the only employee in the entire restaurant was the cook, whom after 15 minutes took us to the table, at that time we order our meal and we did not bother the cook with beverages or cocktail (my mother love mimosas) and we wait for the server to arrive, which he did after 45 min, and he never acknowledge us, he sat another table and we call for his services asking for at least a cup of coffee, and he did bring them to us but with attitude, that, at the time that he settle them on the table both cups spill, I tried not to get upset because it was my mother special moment, but not even a spoon, we have to use our forks to mix the coffee, used plates were never remove from the table until the time we ask for the check (as you imagine server did not come back), in relation to the food, the vegetables were burn, overcook and salty.

Very lovely atmosphere with plenty of space between the tables. The staff is attentive and the place is particularly clean. The menu? Steaks are great, lobster is perfect and their salads are wonderful. Absolutely creative and delicious. Beautiful bar too. I will definitely go back.

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill since I last came here a few years ago. It's extremely slow. Not just a tiny bit... we used to crave their butter fish. It used to be so amazing. Out recent visit the fish was over cooked, used too much soy, salty and had a fishy taste. Nothing like it used to be. their bonus of a star is that the staff is really friendly
