RusTeak Thornton Park

The experience was decent. The quality of the food was good, but it seemed a little confused on the theme. I had the daily special, which was a blackened snapper over lobster, shrimp, and andouille sausage with pineapple jambalaya and a chimichurri sauce on top. The quality of the fish and seafood was great. But jambalaya was grainy and underdone. The chimichurri was kinda bland and had no tang or pop. It was pretty looking and the quality of the meat was good but it didn't come together as a cohesive meal. It was just an underwhelming experience overall. The service was good.

My boyfriend and I had a dinner date at RusTeak and sat outside. Our waitress was super kind and accommodating, especially when we needed to rush our bill. Happy hour 25% off was a great deal and the cocktails were fantastic! The flatbread with chopped apples was delicious, and the edamame was solid. However my chicken entree was just okay the sauce was overly sweet, almost syrupy, and the chicken could’ve been cooked better. Overall great service and drinks, and appetizers but wasn’t a fan of the entree.

Ordered medium steak, eggs and breakfast potatoes. The steak came out well done and the potatoes were crunchy like chips. Im disappointed as the food is usually good. I didn't penalized the waiter's tip. Ive been here before and is usually pretty decent. The food wasnt worth taking home.

We walked in to find plenty of empty tables, even though our reservation was still 25 minutes away. We politely asked if we could be seated earlier, given the availability, but the hostess was unbelievably rude—like we were inconveniencing her. That was enough for us to walk right out, reservation or not. With so many other options, there's no reason to put up with that. Go somewhere else.

Had a reservation on the patio and they wouldn’t honor it when we arrived because of a large party that had the patio. No reason why I was able to book provided, total lack of concern.

I went to RusTeak to meet some business associates. One of them explained to the waiter that she was a vegan, and he suggested a couple of appetizers. When they were served, one of them was covered with bits of bacon.....🥲 The entrees were uninspired as well.

It was mid. The brunch burger was fine I guess, but the tomato jam on it absolutely overpowered the rest of the burger so I just ate it without the bottom bun. The brunch potatoes tasted flaccid and soggy, like a knock-off Jimmy Dean potato bowl. If you're not going there to be seen with your friends out at brunch, I have genuine questions as to your taste buds.

Happy hour is great but the main courses fall short. Im curious if the owners actually check on quality. The chicken was so overcooked and dried out. The mashed potatoes seemed hard like they had been sitting for hours. Shame for a place with these prices. I expect better quality.

I visited this establishment with my son and ordered two New York strip steaks. After delivery, two different servers came by to ensure that they "did not mix up the plates". One of the steaks was definitely a New York strip; it was succulent and delicious. The other was unrecognizable to me and was absolutely terrible. I can't shake the feeling that the subpar cut of meat was intended for the child as opposed to the adult, but if I am indeed being too paranoid, then I have no explanation for receiving one of the hardest most gristly pieces of meat I have ever received in a restaurant setting. About 25% of this thing was inedible and, instead of the other 75%, I would rather have my $38 back.

Food was pretty bland. Nothing inherently wrong other than lack of flavor. Like others mentioned, parking is limited. Every time I’ve come here I’ve gotten a ticket adding $40 to the meal price.

We were in town for the Paul McCartney concert on 5/28/22 and arrived for our reservation just after 5:30. The concert started at 8 PM so it would seem we had plenty of time. The restaurant was slightly busy, but not extremely. We placed orders on appetizers and food. The appetizers arrived within a reasonable time, but over an hour passed before 2 out of the 5 people in our party received their food. The other 3 of us still had not received anything.

We told the waiter we were in town for the concert and needed to get moving, and he said he would check on things. Finally, it was nearly 7:30 and we were still waiting on food, we told the waiter to just have the kitchen put our dinner in to-go boxes and if there was anyway we could get some sort of refund as we waited 2 hours at this point, could not enjoy our dinner together, and may end up being late for the concert. The waiter disappeared for 30 seconds, said there would be absolutely NO REFUND, and I paid the bill so we could leave right away as soon as they brought the rest of the food out.

5 minutes later, the assistant manager came out and offered 25% off of the bill. We informed him that we had already paid at that point and all he could say was "Oh" and walked away. It was evident that our waiter never even asked the manager. We finally left at 7:45, and ended up being late for the concert.

The food was okay. It was not worth the price and the unprofessionalism we dealt with. There are far better restaurants in Orlando that are ran and operated by competent and efficient management. I would not return to RusTeak under any circumstances.

Edit - I emailed them (as they requested) and explained the issue and they basically shrugged it off. Horrible restaurant.
