Came from Seattle Washington wanted a taste of home. This was the closest teriyaki spot to my air bnb. Did not taste traditional at all. Tastes like someone cooked chicken breast then put teriyaki sauce on it. Salad was mediocre

I ordered a spicy tuna roll but they gave me a teriyaki chicken roll instead. I'm pretty disappointed because I really wanted a tuna roll and I'm pretty sure the spicy tuna roll is more expensive. The teriyaki chicken roll. Also, I've never heard of a chicken teriyaki roll.
I know what went wrong. If you order a bento box or a standard grill item, they plate your food and then the protein is cooked and you carry it away. If you order something special like a roll, it takes extra time because they don't make it until you order it. That's a good thing because that means it's about as fresh as it can be. The cashier told me that would be 7 minutes, where the bento box took about two. That was not a problem for me. When the roll finally came out, the cashier had two boxes of rolls next to him. He asked me if I was waiting for the rolls and I said yes the spicy tuna roll, and he handed me a box. Shopping bag and started to head back to the hotel. When I got back, I pulled out the roll, and thought to myself that it looked like an odd tuna and for some reason it had sauce on it where spicy tuna roll typically does not. After the first bite, I understood why.
Major disappointment.
I'm in town for infocomm and this is part of the Vineland outlet shopping Mall. Sarku is one of the selections in the shopping food court alongside restaurants such as shake, shack, Charlie's, etc. This is your typical Mall food court experience. I came out to the mall to find food because it was close by. Approximately half a mile. When I left the hotel the weather was decently nice. About 92° slightly overcast but pleasant. I went to the Nike store, and when it came out, it was like monsoon season., lightning and thunder, and a lot of rain. I went out to the food court, stopped by sarku, got my food and ran back to the hotel before the rain could get me since I was fortunate enough to get right in the Gap where the rain had lightened up. Unfortunately, by the time I had discovered what had happened. It was too late for me to go back since I was walking, and we were still facing rain situations along with the thunderstorms.
As far as Japanese food goes, this is standard fare. I do think that the steak and the bento box was decently tender. The potstickers were a bit overcooked and a bit hard on the outside. They don't give you enough. Wasabi and there are no extra packets for you to get more. Perhaps you can ask and they'll give you a bit more than they give you by default. Other than that, the portion is respectable and the price is quite fair, but I may be comparing this to California prices.
Trying not to judge the restaurant by mixing up my order. And I can't help but think somebody is out there with spicy tuna roll when they wanted a teriyaki chicken roll. And that I overpaid for the teriyaki chicken roll that I didn't even want. I don't think they'll screw up your order, and I wouldn't not recommend going there. Just as much as I wouldn't necessarily recommend going there either. If you have an itch for quick Japanese food, I'm sure this will scratch that itch. Just check to make sure your order is right before you head out.

Pretty typical 'Japanese' by American standards in a mall. Kind of tasteless noodles in sauce that is decent. At least it comes with steamed veggies.

Exremely small portion of meat all rice underneath the they spread out the meat to give an illusion that its more. Pay all that money just for rice, essentially. Also way too sweet. Sarku always used to be good but this place has gone way down hill and I will never go back.

Large dishes 1 eat 2 very well nobody speaks Spanish and not very friendly
They left the sautéed chicken on the grill for a long time just because they wanted it, since the teacher moved it and moved it and didn't take it out and that left it very dry. We asked for the option of noodles and rice, despite that it's not bad but it's not delicious either, not (edible)

The food tasted good, but we both got sick later when we got home. The only food that was in both our bento boxes was the salad. Everything else was different. So… The lettuce/salad was the culprit. It must’ve been spoiled or something.
I don’t really eat in but food is made fresh, and always hot when I receive it. The portions are enough to fill you up and it’s inexpensive. Sometimes they forget the sauce which is why they aren’t 5 star.

Restaurantji Recommends
The amount is certainly very good for its price and quite delicious. Cannot comment on the containers it was served but I’m quite happy about the beef that is cooked freshly instead of being reheated.

I recently visited Saku at the Vineland Outlet Mall and was extremely disappointed with how my food was served. I ordered their combo 5 and combo 1 and it was given to me in a #6 plastic container (polystyrene). As someone who values food safety, I was shocked to see such a hot dish served in a material that is not suitable for high temperatures.
What’s even more surprising is that when I visited the same restaurant in New York, the food was served in a #5 plastic container, which is much safer for hot dishes. Why the difference in standards for the same chain?
Using #6 plastic for hot food is not just unsuitable—it’s dangerous. Polystyrene can leach harmful chemicals like styrene and benzene into hot food or liquids, especially at high temperatures. Styrene, in particular, is a suspected carcinogen and has been linked to various health issues, including nervous system problems. Moreover, #6 plastic is not environmentally friendly, as it is rarely recyclable and contributes significantly to pollution.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see this lack of consistency and disregard for customer safety. I strongly urge the management to switch to safer and more sustainable packaging, such as #5 plastic or compostable containers. This experience has left me questioning the brand’s commitment to quality and safety.

Cheap option for Brazilians who want to save money. I managed to share a "bento" for 2 easily.
The food is tasty.
I recommend buying drinks from the soda machine because they put a lot of ice in these restaurants.
It's in the outlet's food court.

Hours say they’re open already and it’s a little past 10. Got all the way here and was told they’re not opening until 11 because “corporate hasn’t sent them the price change for the day on the menu items.” Waste of a drive. Hours need to be updated.
