Disney and culinary excellence are not synonymous. Absolutely not. I had my shares of disappointing dining experience at Disney theme parks on countless occasions.But some exceptions pleasantly emerged recently and Satu’lli Canteen is a prime example.This quick service restaurant is located in the Avatar section (Pandora land) in Animal Kingdom. Using the Disney app to order food is highly recommended. Finding a table is a breeze because there’s a cast member at the door to screen out non-dining guests.I heard so many good things about about this place and I ended up getting the beef/chicken over rice and bean with scallion sauce that tastes and looks like chimichuri sauce. And I also got the dumpling with vegetable slaw and chips.Totally met my expectations, I have to say. Each entree was designed in such a way that they can bang out thousands of orders without paralyzing the kitchen. While accommodating gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and other dietary restrictions. Ingenuity!This place should be the prototype for all Disney dining places.Dietary restrictions: From the Disney App, you can place an order that accommodates variety of dietary restrictions.

The chocolate mouse was a little rich for me, but my taste have changed. I like it lighter but when I was younger I could have eaten 3. I would eat there again. It's not the food you eat regularly so I really enjoyed it because it's not the same old thing.

Cheeseburger Steamed Pods- Bao Buns: Satu'li Canteen is located in the Pandora section of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The canteen is themed to resemble a Resources Development Administration (the bad guys) mess hall, now a peaceful dining facility adorned with Na’vi art and cultural items after the events of the original film. What lured me to this restaurant (besides enjoying the movies) was the unique menu offerings, specifically the Bao Buns. I've never had a Bao Bun, and this seemed like a safe and ideal time to try them as this variety is meant to mimic a cheeseburger. An order includes two pods stuffed with plenty of ground beef along with ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese. There was just enough condiments and cheese to add to the flavor, but not easily visible to the eye and I personally could have used more cheese. The white dough was soft and sweet. This isn't meant as a negative, but if I ate this blindfolded, other than the Bao Bun texture, the flavor reminded me a lot of the countless McDonald's cheeseburgers I consumed as a kid. The vegetable chips were colorful and included a dusting of BBQ seasoning for flavor. As far as I could tell they seemed fresh and had a nice crunch to them. I'm not really into coleslaw, but I tried the vegetable slaw and that was also pretty good. The star of the slaw was the small number of berries, which had an intensely sweet and candy-like flavor. I can't tell you how to say it in Na'vi, but the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods- Bao Buns from Satu'li Canteen are Doughboy approved.Doughboy_Food_Reviews

One of my favorite quick service restaurants in Walt Disney World. Wide range of food variety as well as options to remain somewhat healthy conscious in the theme parks. Don't sleep on the lemon blueberry cheesecake!

If you want to eat something other than bread and fried.It is at the end of Pandora's world, it is the most “different” thing you can find in the park.It is a blue noodle dish, with many things and fresh tuna.I like hot noodles, they are cold there, but they didn't taste bad.

I love this place! The food is good and not overly expensive. For quick service, it’s really impressive and the cheesecake is incredible! The hamburger pods are decent, but the various bowls are even better, in my opinion. If you’re looking for quick, inexpensive and decent food at Animal Kingdom, this is a good stop!

Never thought I’d be ordering ahi tuna poke at a theme park, but I’m SO glad I did. The Ocean Moon Poke is so, so good. Everything tasted fresh and delicious - possibly my favorite meal at Disneyworld (and I ate at Takumi-Tei)
