I came on a Friday morning for breakfast and asked to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. I waited 30 minutes before anyone came out to even ask if I’d been helped. The waiter went back inside and never returned. I ended up placing a pickup order just to get my food in 15 minutes, faster than the table service. Terrible service, and definitely not worth leaving a tip.

This place is an absolute joke now. I used to love this place and stopped in for breakfast whenever in the area. Food was always hot and fresh. Service always great and fast. It has def changed since the ownership changed from the look of the reviews.
I walked in and sat at a table, waitress greeted me with a smile and asked what I would like to drink and left to bring me coffee. The good part of the visit was over at that point.
I had to ask for a rag to clean the dried syrup with napkin stuck to it off the table. No biggie it can happen. She took care of it for me. I ordered the short rib hash which came with eggs and a biscuit.
Food came out pretty quickly and it was pretty obvious why as soon as I took a bit. Potatoes were raw and covered in grease. Not undercooked but raw all the way thru. The biscuit which was more like an old roll then a biscuit was hard as a rock. I brought it to the waitresses attention and she was very apologetic which was appreciated. She offered to bring me other potatoes but I politely declined. I mean I kinda gave up on it at that point since that was the quality of food that came out of the kitchen when they weren’t even busy. I asked for the tab and she brought it and apologized again. When I looked at the tab the food was still on there. I fully expected to pay for the coffee and assumed they would take the rest off at the register. I walked up to the counter to pay and mentioned the the other server that the food was sent back and not eaten at all and he repeated the total to me. I said “so the food was sent back because it was raw and not edible and I am still being charged?” And he simply said yes. I paid the tab and went to walk away, got half way to the door and was called back by a woman from the kitchen. I walked back explained what happened and she said to ask for her next time when I came back. Really?? I am assuming she was a manager or something of the like. I asked her why I would come back after being made to pay for a meal I could not eat. I told her I would not be back and turned to leave quietly. She continued to call me but I had wasted enough time and $25 in this place.
I am sure after reading some of the other bad reviews and responses that there will be a response from the owner so let me save you the time.
Becky, I am not coming back and won’t ask for you. To simply respond to a bad reviews with “come back and ask for Becky” is not gonna fix the problem. Maybe more time in the kitchen making sure you don’t send out cold greasy undercooked food and less time with short pointless responses to bad reviews might help. Just my opinion after that plate of garbage your kitchen put out.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and me and my wife came in a few weeks ago as usual. (We try to come in a few times a month) The restaurant just seemed off between the waiters not being up to par and the food being not so delectable. Since the new owners things have been steadily going down hill and have been trying to change what was working for years. The head chef destroyed any flavor in the food by “trying new ingredients” and my food should be fairly solid not a liquid falling off everywhere. Food came out cold and was told by one of the only people left from the prior owners to please not give up on shakers. I unfortunately have to say after 3 bad visits I can’t justify having to sit down and wait for a bad meal.

Vibe was kitschy and cute. Food was so so and service was pretty bad. We went on a Sunday morning, so it’s understandable that it took 25 minutes to get our food. Sort of. It took another 15 minutes and multiple requests to get all the items to the table, including toast, syrup and hot sauce. Waitress was very nice but somehow kept disappearing. And if you want a coffee refill, good luck. Glad we tried it but won’t be back.

So disappointed with quality of food and lack of experience with our server (though I think I’ve seen her there before?). As some other reviewers mentioned, the quality has gone down hill. I use to look forward to eating at Shakers and bringing friends over, too. However, I will no longer return.
Unfortunately the eggs were drenched in cooking oil, but my children were hungry so they eat it anyways. I had to send back my quiche; it was old. The eggs had texture - and almost tasted - like chicken. I don’t know what has me feeling nauseous now after “eating” here; the two bites of quiche or the concentrated orange juice 🤷♀️
And yes, how do you burn yet undercook hash browns? These we oily too, maybe this is what got me feeling sick.
Super disappointing.
Also, not a very kid friendly establishment aside from providing high chairs.
I was hesitant to write this review and just not come back, but I am feeling sick by the food. Literally.

Good food. Good service. It's a small place, so sometimes it gets crowded. I enjoy eating there.

I've been going to Shakers on Sunday for about a year. Chakeres is my breakfast go to spot close to my home. Most the time it's just me and a friend other times I meet my family. Everybody I've introduced to this place has loved it. My favorite meal is the sausage and biscuits it comes with one biscuit cut in half with gravy one egg one bacon one sausage. I also recently tried the cinnamon roll pancake. 🤎

Our first time here. Coffee was smooth. The scramble eggs were cooked perfectly, good sausage patties and my husband liked his bacon. We both had the avocado toast and were thrilled with our choice. We've tried a lot of different avocado toast out there and this was top notch. Chunks of creamy avocado, red onion, goat cheese and kalamata olives. So, so yummy. Can't wait to go back and try lunch
