This place is definitely over hyped. The menu on Sunday's is limited. Food was ok, and not what we expected. The soup dumplings were not good- more like microwave / reheated. Rice was extremely saturated in oil.... it was so quite in there you could hear a pin drop and staff did NOT check in not once.
Very good! A hidden gem! The dining room is very small, but the service was quick and food was good. I'll be back!
We tried this place for an early dinner on Monday 7/3. We tried the pork buns and the soup dumplings. The pork buns were pretty tasty. The soup dumplings were less so. They had a doughy flavor combined with boiled chicken. We were expecting more natural flavor without having to add soy sauce or vinegar. Overall, this is a nice and inexpensive place for their limited offerings.
Such good food here! As someone always trying to find new Asian cuisine in Florida this place did not disappoint. We couldn’t stop eating their delicious food, and I completely recommend trying to fried pork soup buns (crazy, right?), the xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), scallion noodles, and their cabbage and pork rice. The food is what truly made my rating high, but the service and atmosphere were okay. The restaurant itself plays cute calming music, but has a very stagnant and cold atmosphere. The service was average at best, where they knew their food was good and didn’t portray much customer service. I would go to this place again, but if you can grab to go, you wouldn’t be missing much!
Vegetarian options: there aren’t many.
The food was very good! The service was great and the staff was very helpful. The service was quick and the prices were good! I recommend the Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Buns and the Soup Dumplings Xiaolongbao!
IT WAS GOOD!!! Def recommend Shanghai pan fried pork buns and boiled chicken!! I miss boiled chicken back in Taiwan so much and the one I had here was juicy and tender, I was satisfied.?Shanghai pork bun was crispy on the bottom and super juicy on the inside, a bit greasy but I don’t mind, it’s still a wonderful dish!! The noodles was alright, the soup dumplings was prob a 8.5/10. I would 100% go back to this restaurant if I ever travel to Orlando again!!?
Definitely try this place out. Highly recommend the Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Buns. Haven't had these in many places but the ones here are definitely my favorite. An order or two per person is a solid meal. Pairs well with an order of the Salted Pork & Veg Rice. The place is counter service with familiar faces that are warm and welcoming every time we visit. Plenty of seating to dine in but also the perfect food to grab and go eat in your car.Shanghai Lane is our favorite restaurant in this neighborhood and one of our top spots in all of Orlando.
We were eating our dumplings and noodles outside the store. I genuinely thought they were made frozen. Kinda like the Trader Joe’s soup dumplings. Then We saw the owner walk out with the soup dumplings and noodles in one of those frozen tv dinner boxes. Spent 50 dollars on frozen microwave food.
Shanghai has its special taste and styles on breakfast food, comparing to how Cantonese Dim Sum.
The temperature of the food was great. Everything came out was hot. As for the food itself, the Soup Dumpling were very small and some were dried out. The ones I had had barely any soup inside. The Salt Soy Milk Curd is different. It was blend. The Shumai was good and stuffed. The tables favorite was the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings. It was extremely hot. Even though it was good, the bottom part was too thick. The hot soy milk was nice and refreshing. Overall food was ok. The service was ok.
Restaurantji Recommends

Totally Authentic Shanghai dishes that are prepared perfect with wonderful flavor and fresh ingredients , just perfection!! Very friendly owners too!!!! If your in Orlando for vacation or a local this is a must try, we regularly drive 1 hour just to eat here !!!! 100% recommend this place.. Try the mini wonton soup & the scallion noodles or soup dumplings, whatever you order you cant go wrong
Chill fav restaurant to go to in the area when I just wanna good bowl noodle pork and cabbage soup. Awesome soup Dumplings and scallion noodles, and my partner loves the fried pork cutlet. My go to place for when I want a bite to eat
Absolutely authentic Shanghainese food! I grew up in Shanghai and I guarantee this is the taste I am familiar with. The spicy pork add on is beyond expectation. The small wontons are just average though. Everything else is tasty and very AUTHENTIC!
First time at this restaurant but it won’t be the last. The food was delicious, from the mini wonton soup, pan fried pork buns, vegetable & pork fried rice to the dumplings. Can’t rave enough about this place, the host was very gracious as we waited about 20 mins for a table. The place is super small with limited seating (6 tables) but you can’t go wrong. The prices were more than reasonable for the quality and taste of the food.
