First experience ag a restuarant like this and it was perfect.
We came in late on a Thursday night hour before close. they were very welcoming and in excellent spirts. Tam was our chef and he was AMAZING he had us laughing all night long. We will be back just for his excellent skills and friendly service. 5 stars all day food was perfect!
I made a reservation for 6:45pm and didn't get seated till around 7:05pm, they only had three cooks on a Saturday night and the place was packed with people trying to get in. The staff was very friendly and our cook was funny but we had to wait to get seated and we had to wait for our chef to finish with his other tables. The food was good but my mother and me were both sick that night and the morning after from the meat.
By far the worst experience I have had in a while. I came to Shogun for my best friends birthday celebration. I'm from out of state so this was a big deal for us. I politely asked the host to bring dessert out after our meal as a surprise! (Like most restaurants do) However, they did not do this. It was a simple request that I even offered to pay extra for which they clearly didn't take seriously. Will NEVER come back. Thanks for ruining our birthday celebration. I will write several horrible reviews here for this.
Very good Japanese food. Are chef was a good singer his name was tom. The restaurant has very tranquil music and... it's a very relaxing place...
Great for family. Friendly and engaging staff. Great value. Easy parking
I really hope they don’t discriminate!
The taste was great. It was over priced for the quantity given. I have gone to better Japanese steakhouse before where they served way more quantity.
Just okay. Waiter was forgetful on a couple of things, and not much of a friendly disposition. Food was just okay, not great. Some was cooked well; some overdone. Not very generous portions considering it was hibachi. I have never been able to finish a hibachi meal due to the amount of food, but this one I finished easily. It was plenty of food, I guess. I probably will not return.
We had a wonderful time. This is a Japanese steakhouse where there is an excellent opportunity to meet people from the US and around the world while having dinner. The chef was quite entertaining. The food was excellent. Service was great. Not a sushi place, but their limited selection was very good. Recommend.
The food was excellent, so was the show. Was caught off guard by the 25.00 service fee. Would have paid it gladly just didn't like it slid in.
Has a fantastic date night, I think it was our chef's first time doing the table side hibachi, but he killed it, was fun and engaging, and his food was dope! I will be back for more
Enjoyed our dinner, hibachi chef was talented and funny! Food was excellent

Great night out with my teenage daughter! Food was amazing! Chef was funny and the service was great. We are Universal pass holders, so I am sure we will be back. :)
Really cool place! I love watching them cook in front of you. If you've never been, it's a must try.
Our time here was entertaining with good food and service. I was a bit surprised by the $14.31 service charge
What an amazing time. Tam was our chef who was so very entertaining. Those new to hibachi loved their experience and thanks for accommodating a party of 14! I can't wait to go back!
As far as Japanese Steakhouses go I would rate this lower on the list than the other ones in Orlando. Portions are smaller than most other Japanese places and there is a $5 sharing charge, but you don't get extra anything (other places charge $5-$10 but get 2 salads, soups and extra rice). Server was a bit rude. And prices for what you get isn't that good. Save yourself and just go somewhere else
Great experience. Tam was our chef. He was funny, cooked delicious food and gave us a great dining experience. Sammie was our server who was wonderful as well. She made sure we had all that we needed and was very friendly as well.
The food is just amazing. The chefs are super nice and funny. They cook the food in front of you. I definitely wanna go back.
Worst Japanese Steakhouse I have ever been to. The quality of the food is very poor. The salad was awful, the soup was awful, the fried rice was awful, the vegetables were okay, and my steak and chicken were over cooked and tough. I am doing you a favor by saying DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! You can thank me later.
Honestly just a terrible experience. The food is over priced, there is no service, and the drinks have no alcohol in them.My girlfriend and I went to try something new and it put a bad taste in my mouth. Our server was never around and when she was, ignored me.Only time she was able to be found was when we were paying.I ordered the mango punch "super bowl" and it was nothing but pineapple juice. There were others at our table who had the same experience and I will probably never go back.Save your money.
This place needs to be REMOVED from the Magical Dining list!!! There was nothing magical about this place and the worst hibachi place I've ever been to! The servers and staff in general were not that engaging nor attentive and that's because they didn't have to be, they automatically take 18% gratuity for their sub par services!!!! STAY AWAY!!! GO TO BENIHANA ITS A MORE upscale place with much better food.
From being in the ABSOLUTE WORST MOOD we decided to go get something quick to eat.... Our server was Sammie and our cook was Tam. All I have to say is I went from crying to laughing hysterically in less than 5 minutes. The food was absolutely amazing and I will DEFINITELY BE BACK for these two. Keep up the amazing work HAHAHA and thank you for showing true impeccable customer service!
This steak house has decent pricing, I ordered the sushi. I am a die hard for sushi and am disappointed with the quality of it and have to honestly say it wasn't sushi I'll be thinking about ever again, the rice tasted really old, also I I got more rice then anything for a role that cost me $15. They also have a rule that you can't order sides unless you order an entrée. The yum yum sauce actually makes me laugh, it taste like mayo ketchup sauce which is disgusting. The chef Min, was really nice and great fun energy. I wouldn't recommend this place for there food although it is a nice restaurant in the inside.
We were here for a total of 3 minutes! We walked in, and as soon as the "waitress" took our drink order, I looked up and saw a ROACH crawling across the table and the grill top. I immediately brought it to her attention, and began to walk out. Then she had the audacity to get an attitude because we were leaving. I could have and should have told the entire restaurant.
Satisfied with the meal I ordered. Service was good.
A strong 4 star. For these kinds of restaurants the Chef is what makes the experience. Our Chef Tam, can cook like a champion. And he has a great attitude and is very funny, he put on a great show and served us our food exactly how we asked. It's always best to make a reservation! I didn't take pictures of my food because I forgot, it was so delicious though! I ordered the Emperor and it came with lobster and filet mignon fried rice and the Gyoza as an appetizer. The Saki was my first ever but was good enough to make me feel good! My experience here was a good one. We had four people in our party, everyone ordered whatever they wanted. It came out to about $175 for four people with big appetites and dessert. Great job Tam, and thank you to all the staff who made our experience there a great one.
Awesome food and service. Similar to a Kobe's restaurant but not as expensive. The cooks here are amazing as well as the staff. Another added plus is that its attached to the Rosen Inn hotel so if you are a guest theres no need to drive anywhere!
Awful service with mandatory "service charge." The food was so so, it was loud and the waitress didn't refill my drink in 2 hours of being there. Very difficult to get to from the highway and not worth the trip.
The food and atmosphere are great, the food delicious and the chefs were fun!
Such a fun time with friends â¤ï¸
Good food, fun experience!
From the ambiance to the Sammie the wonderful Hostess, the excellent Chef coupled with excellent food and entertaining preparation this restaurant is a must to try. Enjoy.
Food was bad. Rice was mushy and meat bland. Chef was nice and funny. Won't be back due to terrible food.
I'm literally sitting at the table writing this review. My wife wanted to go. So, first immaculate, seriously clean and the only complement they get. The server was just bad. I had to ask for a drink and since this is a food that has so much salt you really need a drink. One of the worst servers I've ever had. The food was just ok. The cook screwed up several parts of his routine not getting much correct on timing, dropping his spatula and just not out performing. Very loud from the 2 tables of toddlers. Like seriously, just not a good experience. Dont go!
This Japanese restaurant is attached to our hotel The Rosen Inn so as it was lashing down during a thunderstorm we’d thought give it a go. Sure glad we did, friendly staff clean and tidy great atmosphere. We were seated at a table with a lovely American family with their 3 children. The chef came out cooked everything in front of us. Lovely food great drinks attentive staff. For my wife and I $90 including tip for food and drinks. You won’t be disappointed.
