We always enjoy Slate, but last night was spectacular. They were busy but never made us feel rushed or that our experience wasn't important to them. The service and food were excellent. The guests we brought for the first time were very happy and kept complimenting us on our choice of venue for dinner.

Some of the best food we've eaten in awhile. Pricey, but we knew the prices going in. The chicken cut with a butter knife. My husband said the steak was exceptional. It was a great dinner. If definitely go back. Waiter was interactive. We went on Christmas Day and were grateful the staff was there when we went for dinner out

Service was good, eggs benedict flavor was good, however, not warm which actually made the dish unappealing. Sparkling wine was flat and had to ask for a new glass. Only 4 to 5 tables lunching so absolutely no reason for cold food.

Amazing dinner. All that we could have hoped for. The staff was wonderful and thanks to Sean, the food was extra SPECIAL not to mention a table side visit from our very talented executive chef. A perfect holiday dinner.

Fabulous food and service by Sydney. Tried the mussels fresh & flavorful. Seriously the best ribs, actually fall off the bone, while also not dry. Love the peach sauce on the ribs. will be back soon. Service was impeccable!

Wonderful dinner & outstanding drinks. Beautiful restaurant that was perfect for our family dinner before the holidays. Very good service, too. Love this place and will be back!

First time visiting the restaurant. The food was very good. I had shrimp and grits. Our server, I believe her name was Cindy, was very nice and made good recommendations. Very good lemon drop martini. Kudos to the chef and the bartender.

This was an awful experience. The food took forever and came out cold. The server asked if I wanted rum or tequila in my expresso martini. We were seated next to the pizza oven and the counter was so dusty and dirty we could write clean me on it. Then looked over and saw 3 employees eating on the line. I don't know how this place is still open

After having given up on this place for inconsistencies, we decided to give it another try as it had been awhile since we had been here. I rarely give a bad rating but for such an amazing location and beautiful restaurant, they cannot seem to get the food and service right. We have been going there since the restaurant opened and at first it was good. Over the years the menu has changed, the food has become inconsistent and now the menu is incredibly limited. The staff used to be great. We were there on the weekend at 12:30pm and even with the beautiful pizza oven, a focal point of the restaurant, there was not a single pizza item on the menu. Slate used to be a go to Brunch place. While the restaurant was fairly empty (maybe 3 or 4 tables seated), our waitress took our drink order and did not come back for 15 minutes. Someone else delivered the drinks. She spent all her time at the bar talking to the bartender and someone else. The food was plated in an uninspired diner way with no garnishment whatsoever. The waitress checked on us once. When we were done she never asked how we wanted the bill just brought two separate bills. This could be such an amazing place. It is so beautiful and has such potential. It used to get packed on the weekends and was a staple in the neighborhood. They need to bring back an A team for both the kitchen and the front of the house, revamp the menu, train the staff, advertise that you have done that so people will come back, and turn this place around.

Food and drinks are definitely over priced for the quality. Bar was out of several items to make drinks properly as well as some beers. We waited 15 min for our friends food to be brought out after ours was served. Happy hour prices are not very happy. $2 off menu prices is not a happy hour

My experience was not pleasant AT ALL. I went on Sunday for brunch, there were only about 4 tables occupied, however the food took about an our to come out and when it came out it was maybe warm at best. How is the restaurant mostly empty and food doesn't come out hot?! Not much flavor in the food, really mediocre food. Also, the menu was very limited as well as the drink menu. They didn't have any filthy cherries for my Old Fashioned (apparently they ran out the day before) and apparently they only have one salt and pepper shaker for the whole place, as they asked me if I was done so they could take it to another table. Would not recommend, will not go back.

We've been coming to Slate for many years and we're always so surprised by this hidden gem. The food was fantastic and there were a lot of options for the entire table. Service was excellent and the chef was flexible and creative with one of the dishes not on the menu.

Enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with family, at Slate when most restaurants were closed for the holiday. Excellent beverages and a three course menu including a choice for vegans, and traditional turkey, with excellent service.

Joined for Sunday brunch and was warmly welcomed by the host and even accommodated when requested a table change. The host also started us off with our water as the server had not greeted yet after being at the table for two minutes. Was very disappointed when inquired about bottomless mimosas, only to be told it is not offered anymore...Interesting as online its marketed as such and was a selling point for choosing this restaurant. Menu should be refreshed or newly printed once warn out, noticeable water marks and wear and tear. Food was good but limited, not many options for substitution if dietary restrictions or allergy is a question. Complimentary Valet was a plus. Overall experience was good, could've been great but felt it lack personalization.

Beautiful place. Went for my husband's birthday. Our waiter was wonderful, thank you Clifford. We had a great table by the front windows. Drinks and food were great, however a bit pricey for what we ate. They do have a nice happy hour, FYI.
