Had a delicious lunch today for my birthday at Smokemade Meats and Eats. You will find this restaurant right off of Crystal Lake in an old Pizza Hut building. When you walk in, simple tables and chairs, a menu written on brown paper taped to the glass blocking the food, a corner area with paper plates, plastic cutlery, igloo with water and take out containers. There are also some picnic benches outside. The table ordered one brisket sandwich, one pulled pork sandwich, half pound brisket, medium mac and cheese, medium potato salad and banana pudding. There were two types of barbecue sauce on the table. One was a spicier vinegar and the other was a sweeter mustard. My husband would have really liked the vinegar base but it had no thickness like traditional sauce. We ended up using the sweeter mustard. It was good. The sliced brisket needed no sauce. It had an amazing bark, it was moist and tasty. The pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were equally good. A huge stand out was the amazing macaroni and cheese. I took a bite and said "oh, this is delicious". I really liked the potato salad as well but it is more of a sour cream base with dill versus a mustard or mayonnaise based salad. Both of the side items were made fresh in-house. I could literally come just for the sides. I really wanted to try the zucchini and tomato salad but we didn't get it this time. Oh, the sliced bread that comes when you buy a half pound was really soft and good. It was not that traditional Wonder bread that some places throw on the tray. The banana pudding ended the meal. I did not try it but heard it was good. We were greeted enthusiastically and everyone was friendly. Enjoy!
Was recommended by a friend. From one Pit Master to another, probably the most authentic TEXAS STYLE BBQ I’ve tasted outside of Texas! Brisket was top notch, ribs were smoked to perfection, and the sides were GREAT! Can’t wait to try it again!
It is great overall BBQ with a rich smoked flavor. The sides were also very good.

The best Texas-style barbecue in Orlando. Trust me, I've tried them all. Their brisket doesn't even need sauce, yall - but if you do want sauce, theirs are dang good, too.
Ordered to-go at the end of the day. Brisket was dry. Out of mac and cheese.

Been there twice first time around got a little bit of everything .my favorite was the pulled pork and brisket was on point. Second time around had brisket moist honestly it tasted and looked like reheated brisket which I hate because of the price 17$ for 1/2 lb is alot for re heated brisket . I tried the chicken today and it was OK nothing to brag about . The sausage was great and the sauce . Mac n cheese is okay . Potato salad was ok nothing to brag about . I'm from South Texas this place will be average at best in my home town I would compare it to bill miller's which isn't saying much . Overall I would not recommend it to any family and friends from Texas because they would be disappointed. I'm sure this place has potential customer service and atmosphere is on point .3.5 for me on food

I’m a BBQ-head, just moved here from Texas and the brisket here is the real deal! Served with house made pickled red onion and what tastes like homemade bread? The potato salad was lightly dressed and well-seasoned with dill. My belly was really happy.?

This place is straight fire ? meats are freshly made in house, sauces are to die for. I’ve been a fan of Tyler since his pop up days and I’m so happy for his continued success. He’s right there serving up your food on the line and making sure everyone is always happy. I highly recommend the jalapeño cheddar sausage! When the brisket cheese steak is on the menu you HAVE to try it. Out of this world decadent! Top it off with a $4 Shiner Bock.

What is happening in Orlando!? We now have our very own legit smoke house! Since we found this spot we have been there every weekend. Why only weekends? Because they are only open over the weekends. The brisket sandwich is the finest I have had anywhere in the smoking belt! And the pork ribs were cooked to fall off the bone perfection every time! I secretly don't want this place to become popular so I don't have to wait in lines but I absolutely want them to be successful and be around forever! Definitely a must go to, to take my visiting foodie buddies to, in Orlando!
