We had a very nice stay at Cabana Bay. We chose to spend the first and last nights of our week-long trip here. Every single member of staff I encountered was friendly, helpful, patient, and very accommodating. Our rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. My only complaint was navigation. Finding my way around that place was a nightmare. I had to stop and ask directions at every turn. I would stay here again as long as I could choose which building I stay in 😅
Disappointing that it’s never open beyond 8pm despite showing as open on google and as advised by receptionist on check-in.

As a grandmother traveling with my daughter and four young kids, our stay at Cabana Bay was a major letdown. Our City Mini Double stroller was stolen from outside our room on day two. The hotel treated it lightly we had to push for a police report, and days later, no one has reviewed the camera footage. The A/C was running but never cooled, making the room hot and uncomfortable. My grandchild was injured by a sharp railing, and Universal healthcare was involved. We also paid for Quick Passes, but they didn’t work we were told to rejoin regular lines. The room had broken fixtures, and staff were often unhelpful or rude. I’ve spent over five hours trying to resolve everything between customer service, hotel staff, the credit card company, and filing a police report. Families with young kids should be warned.
We were there for 6 days celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary. We were told that our room would be cleaned every other day. After four days of not having our room cleaned, we checked with the front desk and they scheduled our room to be cleaned the next morning at 10 o’clock. 10 o’clock came and no housekeeping we called downstairs again and housekeeping did not show up until 2 o’clock in the afternoon. when we returned to our room later that evening we noticed that the bedding had not been changed but only the bed had been remade with the same sheets that we had on the bed. We knew it was the same sheets as we had found stains on the sheets when we first checked in. I contacted Customerservice after our stay and they assured me that they would compensate us for our housekeeping issues. I never heard from them again, but I emailed them twice about being compensated and it never happened.
Get there at 5:45 AM if you don't want to wait in a line. The line is short at their 6 AM opening time. Staff are nice.
I've literally been in like for 30 min, and there is no desire from any of the staff to get their customers through. Half of the staff is standing around goofing off, the other half looks just as half asleep as these 60 hotel guests waiting in line. People want to wake up, and go this early, not wait an eternity

A large group of teenagers were allowed to run the halls, banging on doors, yelling, partying in each others rooms and slamming doors until after 2 am. Started complaining around 11:30, figuring boys will be boys, and girls will scream, but after that, something needed done. I was told security was roaming the halls - never saw it or any change. I was told they were handling it. They did not. Lie after lie after lie and no accommodation offered. Not even a different room. I got very little sleep as we had an early flight. Next time, put them together with real adults that are required to supervise them after 10, and keep guests separated. For us, there will be no next time.
We’ve had a great time multiple trips at Cabana Bay. We’ve always been greeted by friendly staff. I really like the retro vibe. It’s close to the Universal parks with a quick bus ride. And not to mention the amenities, hot tub, all the food options, and the lazy river is fantastic! Just wanted to spread some positivity among all the negative comments, there are others that really enjoy this resort. It’s very busy though, just like the parks. Not a bad thing, just expect a lot of folks.
All of these reviews are true!!!! Spend your money elsewhere. This place is a ran down motel!!!
Complete disaster from check in process to not having hot water etc etc

The hotel was dirty. Stained carpets and specs of blood on curtains. My disabled mother used a bench to help shower ing. That the hotel had supplied, whilst using it the legs collapsed causing her to injure her side and back. This was reported to the reception desk, a manager and the head of security. The head of security admitted that the bench was faulty. We were promised a phone call from the risk management team. After emails and phone calls they haven’t followed this up. Very disappointing and unacceptable. Clearly the management of the hotel doesn’t care.
The first room they put us in had ants, the fridge wouldn’t close completely, and our door didn’t latch without a lot of force. The second room they put us in, the faucet shot off when we turned it on and water went everywhere. They refunded our parking ($147) and gave us a $100 credit. We are staying here for 6 nights.
Worst service in any Starbucks by far. Slow moving and lethargic staff makes the way way longer than any other Starbucks I have been to. Have to blame the manager as he was just looking around kind of clueless. Unfortunately no other options so be prepared to wait a LONNNGGGG time

Room was not clean at all , it use to be a nice hotel, but not anymore.
Got the worst experience I’ve ever had on Starbucks, Jazmine from the staff was so rude then I waited for 30 minutes just to find out she didn’t pass the order to other partners so if I didn’t ask for my coffee i wouldn’t get my coffee.
