I went to Sushi Lola tonight. As I stood by the podium, the hostess busied herself with other things. That seemed normal, and I thought nothing about it. However, she only took notice of who was coming in once there were two other couples, and she ignored me. The couple pointed at me and said 'she was here first' and I asked to be seated outside. The hostess brought me a menu and I said thank you - she didn't say anything (not abnormal on a busy night). But I sat for 15 minutes without anyone asking if I wanted a drink. I had to ask my family how long they will wait maximum before giving up lol.
I got up and left tonight. I'm willing to be wrong, but I felt purposely ignored.

Worst Service I’ve ever received, the waiter I got needs to be fired for the sake of everyone who steps foot into Sushi Lola’s

This was our first time eating at this restaurant, but it was such a poor experience that we won't be going back. It took over twenty minutes for our server to bring beer to our table of four. She had warned us ahead of time that the kitchen was busy, and we were absolutely okay with that. However, when every table around us had received our food and been sat after us we started to wonder if that was actually the case. Multiple items that had been ordered never arrived, and some of the items that came out were incorrect. The service was beyond awful. There are too many other restaurants that provide better food and service.

This is a great neighborhood spot. Good food, kind staff, and surrounded by great shops and other small businesses.

Slowest place in town! 10 people working and took forever to be acknowledge,to forever to be seated, forever to order, then forever for the food to arrive. Food maybe good but doesn’t make up for the terrible service. Get it together Lola.

We have dined here several times, and that being said we miss Aaron. Unfortunately, we went off our tasty rolls/ginger salads and tried the Korean dishes, the Bulgogi (beef) and the Chicken Bugogi with sides Sad to say all of it was disappointing. Service too was off. May be awhile before we return. :(

Me and my friend literally just left this place. This was my first and LAST time coming here. I ordered the chicken tempura roll. The lady barely speaks English so it was hard for her to understand us and hard for us to understand her. When they brought me the sushi the damn chicken was pink in the middle. They lady was acting as if she was upset because I didn't want to eat undercooked chicken. My friend asked about the Sake Don BEFORE ordering it. But the waiter he couldn't describe really because she barely spoke English. When my friend received the food it was what he thought it would be so he tried it anyway and didn't like it. So he wanted to send it back. I guess it was the manager who came out to speak with us. She didn't want to take the food back and was upset because he didn't like it. In what world does someone sit there and eat an entire plate of food that they don't like? She was mad because it was a 20 dollar plate and she then proceeds to tell us to "never come back." The worst service I have ever received in my life.

Short wait for a waiter to get assigned to us, but they brought some free takoyaki out and gave us home made cookies at the end of the meal as well so it didn’t bother us. The waitress we had was phenomenal, really funny and very sweet. Sushi itself was about a 7/10, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding for the price either. Feels like some of the regular rolls should be cheaper, they’re about $8-$10. A lot of the deluxe rolls end up being upwards of $16, and for the quality it feels a bit much. Looks like there was also Korean food and other items on the menu that looked pretty good, we’ll be back to try other items too.

Best happy hour sushi deal in town! Always fresh and delicious!
Atmosphere and service with fine, however, both me and my husband ordered eel and dragon rolls and got bones in both of our rolls.
I know these can't kill you, but the amount of them and just how unappetizing it is to see bones in your food really took from the experience. They were big enough that if you ate them you could feel them in your mouth. My husband got way more than I did (though maybe I wasn't as diligently looking).
To me it's kind of like cleaning shrimp. If you don't clean it the stuff is not gonna kill you, but it's still gross, and gives the vibe that the chef doesn't know what they're doing well enough to properly clean the shrimp, and in this case, take the bones out of the eel.
Probably won't be going again. Why pay $44 for sushi with bones in the eel when I can go to a different sushi place and pay $44 for sushi that doesn't have bone in it? Also, there is barely any parking. Had to go park at East End Market and walk to the restaurant.

Great local spot. You shouldn’t come.
Sushi Lola’s never disappoints! Don’t let the small dining area scare you off; the cozy setting only adds to the charm. The appetizers are a perfect prelude to the main event – the sushi rolls. Each roll is crafted with precision and fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor in every bite. Whether you’re a fan of classic rolls or adventurous with specialty creations, Sushi Lola’s has something for everyone. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience is top-notch. This has become my go-to sushi spot, and I can’t recommend it enough!
