someone needs to teach bao pham some manners. i usually do not leave reviews on places i do not like but this is different. the food was okay, service was okay, but what stood out the most was the “host/manager” bao pham. i recommend he is fired immediately if you want this place to succeed, seems like other reviews believe the same. will not be eating at sushi yama until bao is fired, and i hope others see this and do the same

If you’re craving sushi in Orlando and want to leave very full, Sushi Yama is an excellent spot to check out. it’s a modern, lively restaurant that offers both Ă  la carte and all-you-can-eat options — perfect for sushi lovers who like to sample everything. The sushi itself is fresh, colorful, and beautifully presented. If you’re doing the all-you-can-eat option, you’ll find a huge selection of rolls, appetizers, and hibachi entrĂ©es, all at a solid price point for the quality and quantity.

We had a very pleasant meal tonight. Bao was very thoughtful and considerate, which left a deep impression on me. This restaurant offers great value for money and is definitely worth a visit.

Really good sushi buffet. The sashimi was fresh and nicely sliced, not watery or mushy like some buffets. Everything was clean and organized, and it didn’t feel rushed even though it was busy. Definitely great value for the price.

Disrespectful Management !!!
My family wanted to come and have some sushi at this place, however I was not hungry since I had already eaten.
Their policy is that if anyone on the table has unlimited buffet then everyone else has to have it too. I’m not opposed to that but it is appalling that they would charge me a full buffet price even if I just sat there with my family.
But the real kicker was when the server called the manager and he came yelling with a very stern attitude:
“-who here has a problem with the menu? “
His demeanor, loud voice and attitude was enough for me to return a same energy, instant answer: “I do” but he irked me so much that I just stepped out before things got uglier.
Never coming back here and if you don’t want to risk a similar distasteful experience, stay away from this tourist trap

I saw from the neighboring tables that you can eat deliciously there, but I couldn't order it, although this is not a feature of this particular restaurant - the lack of photos of dishes on the menu, but still my experience could be different if this restaurant had photos on the menu.

If you’re in the mood for dirty food, you might as well eat out of a trash can, at least then you’d get the same quality without having to pay or tip.

Very disappointed!!!!!! The sushi tasted old and was poorly made, and the manager’s attitude: Bao and Sammi, made things even worse. When I mentioned the problem, they were dismissive instead of trying to fix it. Poor food, poor service, and even poorer management — I won’t be coming back.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place deserves every bit of criticism possible. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt tense
not welcoming at all. The host barely acknowledged me, and the manager Bao was standing behind the counter looking completely uninterested, like we were an inconvenience for showing up.

The sushi itself was awful. The fish didn’t taste fresh, the rice was dry and falling apart, and the rolls looked like they were thrown together by someone in a rush. For the prices they charge, you’d expect at least edible food, this wasn’t even close. I honestly started to worry about getting food poisoning halfway through my meal.

To make things worse, when I politely mentioned that the rolls tasted off, the manager Sammy gave me an attitude instead of fixing the problem. No apology, no offer to remake the dish, just excuses and eye-rolling. Totally unprofessional. The other manager Bao wasn’t any better; both seemed more interested in chatting with staff than helping customers.

Save yourself the money and the stomachache. There are plenty of sushi spots nearby that actually care about quality and customer service. This one clearly doesn’t. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in years.
