SHUT DOWN BY HEALTH DEPT - RAW SEWAGE, disgusting!!Taka Taka’s Cafe at 9318 E. Colonial Dr. Suite A-5 And A-6 in Orlando shut down on Oct. 7.Officials found 19 violations, four of which were a high priority. Those violations included nonfood-grade storage containers being used to store food, raw animal food stored in the same place as ready-to-eat food, raw sewage on the premises and overflowing wastewater through the floor drains.Officials conducted another inspection on Oct. 8. They found 11 violations, three of which were a high priority.Officials granted extensions from the initial inspection on violations for raw storage of animal food, backed-up wastewater, and using nonfood containers to store food. They allowed the restaurant to reopen.
Excelent Latín food, and fair prices, the variety of plates will surprise you, we got the entree sample plate with beef stuffed empanadas, and tequeños plenty of cheese. The Cruzado soup was excelent. You will enjoy this place
I have to start with the fact that I was born and raised in Venezuela, so I am extra hard on rating Venezuelan places as I compared them with the real thing. I went to Taka Taka at the recommendation of another Venezuelan friend and boy, am I happy I found this place! We had company at home so we ordered to go, and we pretty much ordered a bit of everything: tequeños (2 kinds: with guava or tequeguava, and with Plantains or tequeyoyo, as they had run out of plain ones), empanadas - and those were amazing! We ordered the "mandocas" and they had a very traditional flavor. The kids ordered a traditional Venezuelan soda called "Frescolita" as well as "papelon con limon" or limeade sweetened with dark brown sugar. They also have assorted Venezuelan candy available to purchase, they have desserts like "3 leches" cake and fresh cheese like "queso de mano" or "queso guayanes" packed to go. Service was great, and the price is friendly: you'll eat a lot for very little! 100% recommend to try it for a taste of Venezuelan food!
Amazing food!!! Every bite had amazing flavor. It blows several of the other Hispanic cultural restaurants away in the area. Well worth a visit. Friendly staff and very clean dining. We will definitely return.
First and last... I waited 50 min for 8 empanadas. Be aware of this place. If you want to wait 1 hour for you food. This is the place....
love this place, very pleasant people and the empanadas, tequenos, and cachapas are authentic and delicious, i’ve been to venezuela many times and this is the closes your gonna get to eating venezuelan authentic antojitos, been here many times and never disappointed, try it you won’t be disappointed and if you want fresh fried food you have to wait for it. well worth it!
Best empanadas I've had so far in orlando. I also got coffee and guanabana, everything tastes great and is very affordable!
My wife is Venezuelan and absolutely LOVES this place! Truly authentic dishes that take her back home every time we visit

Always love this place!! Best. Arepas. In. Orlando easy (I have limited experience and havent tried any other places because this one keeps me coming back)
Never got to even order for pickup. No clue what their food even tastes like. Woman who answered the phone was rude. Pretending to only know Spanish. My Spanish isn't great but I tried. "Tres Desayuno Criollos, por favor." Not good enough. She said, "No. No." Then proceeded to hang up. Think that she just didn't want to be bothered. Was in the parking lot as I ordered, it did not look at all busy. She could have been the only person running the front desk, she could have possibly been only fluent in Spanish. It is possible. However, #1 Why have your online menu in English on the website if this joint is exclusively for Spanish speakers only, #2 If you have an employee who can only speak Spanish don't leave her at the front desk alone and thrown to the wolves, please have a bilingual worker assist her, #3 Don't you want your business to make good money by having a broader demographic of customers??? Sadly, I won't be coming back. Really wanted to try out some tasty Venezuelan food with a Cuban influence, heard that they were good but the service needs an overhaul. Supongo que a Taka Takas no le gusta ganar dinero. Que lastima.
Small café for a quick bite. It is good.
The food was really good, but I had to wait forever for it. The prices are way to much for the food. I also asked for a cuban coffee and the server told me that the machine was not working and as I was still waiting for my food, another customer came in that was Cuban and ordered a coffee and the server made it for her. Which means, if you are not Cuban I would not go here. I will never go again.
Awesome authentic food, good portions, and they have a ton of choices.
