Be advised this restaurant is no longer there. The location is now a "Spanish Neuvo" restaurant. They no longer have the flamenco show on the weekends, but have (according to the Argentinian hostess at the door) Salsa dancing "shows" on Wednesdays. Furthermore, when we went there for the flamenco show, she told us that "the same dancers perform the salsa dancing show", which is possible but unlikely and absurd on the face of it. We wanted to see the flamenco show and were looking forward to a paella, she told us "the food is basically the same", so we looked it over and it's a "fresh take on traditional Spanish cuisine". So... no, it's not basically the same food, it's different, by definition. Tapa Toro had a great ambiance and a certain pizzaz. Now it's one of these modern sterile looking environments. In short, Tapa Toro is gone. Try this one at your own risk.

The restaurant is no longer there. It's a "new" Spanish food restaurant that does not have the flamenco shows anymore. They have "salsa dancing" shows, according to the hostess, but not on the same schedule as the previous restaurant. According to her, it's "the same food, with a different take". The new decore looks steril and uninviting. A true let down.
Christophe is an exceptional server and the paella was to die for. I think the name has changed, so it can be confusing at first but it's definitely worth finding and trying it!

Picture this: an evening filled with the promise of great drinks, delicious food, and impeccable service, set against the backdrop of a cozy restaurant. We were seated about 30 minutes before happy hour ended, greeted with a smile and handed the happy hour food list. The first round of drinks, a melody of flavors, danced on our palates, and we eagerly ordered two more rounds, eager to extend the enchantment. But then, like a sudden change, a manager named Omar approached our table with an unexpected request. Despite the abundance of empty tables around us, he politely informed us that our time was up. With drinks still in hand and the clock barely past 6:30 PM, we were left feeling slighted. We couldn't help but wonder why we weren't offered an alternative seating arrangement or given the opportunity to enjoy our drinks. I remain hopeful that Omar will fine-tune his approach to ensure that every guest feels as valued and appreciated. it doesn’t feel right to mark down the rating for service because our server was amazing.

We are in Dr Phillips and wanted a change of scenery from restaurant row. This location looked to have a nice ambiance and so we decided to try it out.We sat down and our server, although very nice, was confused on if he was staying or leaving. He began with giving us small waters while a couple in front of us had a bottle of water with tall large cups.We asked for an app then a salad before ordering enteees. The salad came out immediately, likely premade and in the fridge, however it was very good. Our appetizer of meatballs were sub par at best. Rubbery on the outside as if they were reheated from a bag.We followed this with entrees. The mussels were ok but still bland and the garlic bread that came with it was not good at all. The lamb shank was hands down the worst I’ve ever tried. Our manager didn’t think it came with anything, although it does, and so we ordered a side of mashed potatoes. They came out in a scoop like ice cream. I’ve never liked retardants that do this - it only takes a few seconds to mash with a fork and give a better presentation. They also lacked any flavor and so we went it back.Half of the by the glass wine was not in stock and the drinks we ordered were so small that you could only have but 3-4 sips. We ended with a $150 bill that felt disgusting when paying and leaving.I told some friends about our experience and they seemed to think it was typical. I guess I should have looked at reviews but we went with the look and I guess looks can be deceiving.Hope they can improve given such a great location and venue.

Since we arrived we felt judged for being Latino, although the restaurant has Hispanic staff and even our waitress was Hispanic. He questioned us in a tone of complaint because we were not going to consume alcohol. The waitress offered us a package, took the order, the runner brought out the food, once again the waitress returned to the table, the next time she went to collect. They added tip included for a table of 5 people, nowhere do they have this policy stipulated/announced! We asked the "Manager" and he just ignored it, they explained the situation and he just told the waitress to go serve another table and they left!!!The food leaves a lot to be desiredPortions to "share" between 4 to 6 pax. They really are for Maximo 3!!
