This restaurant is very bad. The food is more expensive than other Sichuan restaurants, and the portions are very small. We ordered two dishes, one of which looked like the braised pork was leftover by someone else! When paying the bill, the lowest tip option on the bill is 18%. All in all, this dining experience was very bad. Don’t go there.
This restaurant is very poor, the food price is more expensive than the Sichuan restaurant outside, and the weight of the food is particularly small. We ordered two dishes, one of which is braised pork like the leftovers of others! When paying the bill, the minimum option of Tip on the bill is 18%. In short, the dining experience is very poor, so don't go.

The food in this restaurant is terrible. When checking out, they force a 20% tip, and tax is included in the tip. I have been in the United States for more than ten years, and this is the first time that tax is added to the tip at a meal.

The place is severely understaffed. It's very crowded and all staffs are busy as hell. But it still takes 40 min to get us seated, and another 20 min to order. This is annoying but understandable. What sets us off was they served the wrong dish, we didn't know and started eating. Moments later they took it away and served it to another table. I can hear the waiter telling guests at the other table that the dish was untouched. If they lie like that, I can't trust they care about food safety.

It’s hard to put it into words, the soybean sprouts are old and browned, the hot kidneys are also old, and the three mildly spicy dishes are all extremely spicy. Five dishes costing one hundred and seventy dollars, none of which was satisfactory.

Very authentic, however, the peppercorns were a bit much for me personally, but I imagine many other would feel differently. The wontons were great.

proper szechuan, good flavors and the heat is definitely there if you order the right dishes
food comes out extremely fast so the location seems to turnover guests pretty quickly
went on a friday night and there was not much a crowd, the prices are more than appropriate, not sure what the other reviews are talking about
make sure to get the dan dan noodles and the laziji chicken if looking for mala
there are non-szechuan dishes on the menu as well, however i would recommend sticking to the szechuan dishes as this is authentic szechuan cuisine
Parking: plenty of parking surrlunding the building

There are two locations and we’ve been to both. Today went to their Colonial Drive location. Taste of Chengdu is absolutely delicious, but we love Schiuan cuisine! This is a must try. Baldwin Park location in nicer area, but food just the same at both locations. Nice service each and every time we’ve been.

Food was amazing. Loved the round spin'ie thing in the table, so you can share you food.

I have never had a disappointing dish. Pay attention to the spice levels indicated on the menu. Hot means hot

Excellent Sichuan flavor. Dan Dan noodles (spicy) was tasty with aldente noodles. Cold rabbit dish was my favorite mala seasoning. Be forewarned that the stir fried two treasures packed a lot of heat. Eggplant came temperature hot. Ordered the sweet and sour pickled cucumber to help cut the heat.
Service was efficient and friendly. They know people need ice water when eating spicy food, so they come and refill often. My only complaint is that the dispenser in the restroom dispensed 4" of paper towel each time, which really isn't enough.
I can't wait to come back to try other dishes!
Parking: When the parking lot in front of the restaurant is full, ask before parking at the motel.

Love this place. Extremely authentic. Love that there are pictures on the menu of all dishes, helps for those not familiar with the names of the dishes.

Unpalatable and expensive, a surprise
So disappointing. We moved to the area and dined in; the food and service was great. We ordered takeout from here last night, and we're shocked at how sad the portions were. Some barely covered the bottom of a small containers with the tiniest amount of rice in even smaller containers. $30 for cumin beef that could barely satisfy a child. We called back as I was ready to bring all the food back and ask for a return and they told me to call back in 30 minutes. My recommendation is dine in only, do not order to go, for those prices and portions it loses its charm.
