Im not sure what’s going on today but the 1st & 2nd time that I ate at Chimi “in-person” , the food was exceptional. Today, I ordered online and the rice was a “very very small portion, the tostones were not fully cooked nor crispy on the edge, and the Chicharrón seem hard and flavor was different.

Me and my boyfriend came in for a good meal and we saw the chimi spot come up so we decided to give it a try. It was absolutely AMAZING, the hours differ than what it’s portrayed online so be aware it stays open LATER. Michelle was so kind and attentive, described new items on the menu and are a MUST try for our next visit.

Don’t order from this place. I ordered on uber and they sent me a Yaroa very cold and hard to eat and little bit of food like they are giving you a sample. They put ketchup like they were lacking ketchup and mayonnaise in the kitchen that day. Very disappointed. If you can make something right then just open another kind of business.

Avoid! This place used to be great but they are adding illegal charges. Make sure to get a receipt.
Orange County sales tax is 6.5%. My receipt says 20%. This is highly illegal and needs to be addressed by management. And then to charge a 4% card fee and force an 18% service charge? Anticipate paying near double what the menu prices are when ordering. Disgusting levels of greed.

I ordered the chicharrón de pollo con tostones. They gave me the chicken burned to such a point that it was completely inedible. I placed the order to go so I did not know until I got home.

Delicious empanadas and my wife said the chimi was really good as well. Pretty good bang for your buck, would recommend for a late meal or before going out
