Brisket sandwich, pork sandwich, gouda burger are my favorite ever ?
Had a food truck night right outside of my apartment complex one night, and we were feeling frisky, so we looked at all of available options, and the choice was obvious. The Hook. We had seen The Hook around before, and it always had a solid menu, but this time, the specials menu they had cooked up was just too enticing to pass up. So in we went.We started off with the Lamb Burger (Roasted Pepper, Gouda Cheese, Bacon, Crispy Onion, and Garlic Aioli). With an upgraded side of the loaded cheese fries. Solid burger! Not a lot of ingredients, but they all served their purpose. They enhanced that lamb flavor that often gets lost in its ground form. I especially loved that garlic aioli. Let that stuff drip into the box and dip those fries in there. We also tried the promising sounding Brisket Quesadilla (Smoked Brisket, Cheese, S. Carolina BBQ Sauce, Onions), and Wow! This little thing packed a Lot of brisket in there. Having that cheese ooze out of the side and get extra crispy and tuille-like during the cooking process. Just perfect. Very nice BBQ quesadilla.Overall, the food was good, the workers were very friendly, everything was just so nice. I see this truck here all the time, so I definitely will be coming back.
Quality food, great customer service! I haven't ate on campus in a year or so due to experiencing overpriced, average food. The Hook has great chicken sandwiches and crispy fries! The student price didn't break my bank, either! ?
Absolutely amazing!! Lil pricey but you get what you pay for the food was actually magnificent!!!
I had The Hook's lamb burger this evening at the Lakeland Munn Park Food Truck Rally. It was both huge and delicious. Served on a bun with melted Gouda cheese, bacon, crispy, onions, and garlic aïoli. The lamb patty was very generous sized and grilled to perfection. Highly recommended!!!
The brisket sandwich absolutely delicious, delightfully scrumptious Like nothing I have eaten before. Brilliantly prepared. Served at Cranes Roost tonight.
Got the brisket loaded fries, and the double crispy onion burger—highly recommend this place! The employees are cool and hella nice, and the food is the BOMB DOT COM YALL
My fiancé and I just went to Tasty Takeover and tried The Hook. He had the Signature Burger and I had the Blue Burger. By FAR the best blue burger I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly (medium) and the caramelized onions melded so well with the bleu cheese. Packed with flavor! the fries were nice and crispy. I wish I took pictures but we ate them so quick
Fantastic Gouda cheeseburger! It's probably in my top five burgers that I've ever had. Occasionally they also have a pork belly burger on their menu which is very good as well. This is about my 4th or 5th time eating at the food truck and they never disappoint. I wish they had a permanent location in downtown Sanford.
Paid extra for bacon cheese fries and they gave me regular then they fixed it but when I ordered I asked for my burger to be well done got home burger was almost raw so I had to cook my burger patty at home not to mention the food wasn’t cheap which isn’t a problem but I expect it to be made correctly never will go back

Had this food truck at a event at southern hill farms and I got the double burger with crispy onion pedals it was one of the best burgers I’ve had however the fries were undercooked only reason for a 4 star review
I had the Gouda burger added bacon at the NSB food truck festival. The best burger I ever had. ??
This is my go-to food truck whenever I see them. Try the pork belly sandwich and you can thank me later ;)
