We’ve been coming to The Melting Pot for years and have always loved the experience, which is why tonight was especially disappointing.
For the first time, we decided to order just the cheese fondue instead of the full four-course meal. We’re not sure if that made a difference in the service, but it certainly felt like it did. The cheese wasn’t fully melted and was already cold by the time we started eating, which really took away from the experience. We even had to adjust the cooktop temperature and mix it ourselves.
Because we were dining with a little one, we decided to add a chocolate fondue as well. Unfortunately, the server dropped everything off in a rush and left in less than two minutes, without checking back on us. The experience is what truly makes The Melting Pot special, and that was missing tonight.
What makes this even harder is that we’ve always recommended this place to friends and family and have consistently had wonderful service before. We were there just two weeks ago with a friend, we had our baby gender reveal there, and we’ve celebrated all our anniversaries at this restaurant. Maybe our expectations are high because we’ve always been treated so well in the past, but tonight didn’t match the standard we’ve come to love.
For now, we’ll stick to making fondue at home, as we’re not planning on going back anytime soon.

Me and my friends went to this location as a way to ditch out schools hoco. Our server, Gabe, was the absolute best thing to ever happen to me. He was supportive, loving, funny, kind, sweet, and so much more. He is clearly a hard worker and anyone who has him as a server or even meets this man should be grateful and should count themselves lucky. Gabe deserves the biggest raise ever.
