I came in for a Jazz night and the place was packed but luckily I was able to secure a spot at the bar. I liked the retro decor and the service was great. Jazz band that played that night could have been better, otherwise a great spot to try some local beers.
It’s The Nook! Of all the DIY bars I’ve been to around the country, I’m glad this one is so close to home and we can share so many artsy experiences here. Beer selection is always top-notch (it’s mostly craft beer—so don’t come looking for liquor or wine!) and it’s close to some of the better late night food-grabs right on a strip of very cool bars in the Milk District (TGLee is across the street). Stopped in for drinks. The vibe is eclectic with knick-knacks around and on the ceiling. Limited sitting space. Decent size bar. Lot of beer on tap. Had the NEIPA, I think it was called 'Queen' - was very good.
