Osprey never disappoints. I asked for a quiet corner for reservations. I got a quiet corner!! The food selection is always great. You can't go wrong with anything really. (Although I do miss their cioppino!! ) Anna, our server, was amazing. As is all staff there. This is one of my favorite places to go to for something special. The best!!! Even their carrot cake is wonderful. The candle for my birthday was a nice touch.
My catch of the day was wahoo, and it was barely warm and a tad dry. The butternut squash purée was a bit disappointing matched with the fish. The golden raisins on top were very sweet. My yellow fish tuna appetizer was excellent! It was very fresh and the Szechuan sauce was perfect. My husband ordered a Caesar salad but it was very anchovy-forward so he sent it back. The chowder was also excellent. His lobster bucatini was good and spicy. Our server was excellent and attentive....
I went for my birthday dinner, and while the evening started off promising, things unfortunately went downhill from there. My oysters were fantastic but the other party with us didn't receive theirs until much later, even though they ordered before me. Our drinks took a long time to arrive and I had to keep reminding the waiter that we ordered drinks. and the food followed the same pattern. My fish was tough and rubbery.
