Pinery is an interesting high scale eatery with elements of farm to table. Our business group order a lot of the same entree and unfortunately our proteins were all on the smaller side. I would recommend the bread platter.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while as I had heard good things. Once I got there, my excitement was immediately squashed by the host who greeted me with a tone that can be described as nothing short of aggressive and rude. She explained that she had no room inside and could only seat me at a high top. Before I could finish asking why, she cut me off and said “because I am completely full!” in a loud and belligerent tone. After standing there in complete shock, I finally agreed to just take the high top as I had already come this far. After that the experience was better. Food was good, however I was hoping for a little more flavoring on the Brussels sprouts. Our server was one of the bartenders who kept sending over a new hire (who was very kind and welcoming) over to check on us because he was busy. Overall, I would be more inclined to recommend this place had I not been greeted with such hostility in my first interaction. Seems like she needs a day off. Also, I myself work in the restaurant industry and this was a first for me.

Very cozy and warm dining experience. Love the decor and innovative menu selection. Waitstaff extremely friendly. Just so popular...you may have a slight wait to get served. Overall will put this restaurant on our "go to" list. Loved the lobster sandwich, grouper, gnocchi dishes, charcuterie board. Outdoor seating available with a view of Lake Ivanhoe when weather is nice.

One word. Wow. The Pinery did not just serve amazing food but also could possibly be the most friendly and accommodating restaurant I have visited. Our server AJ was genuinely kind, helpful and if I do say so myself absolutely hilarious! The chef even made a little birthday meal for our cat's birthday to celebrate (on the house as well which is just so generous). I could not recommend this place more if I tried. So thank you again to the owner and the whole team for tonight- especially AJ.P.s. Dashielle (and his brothers) are still enjoying the fish paté 'cake'

Love the atmosphere. Wonderful service. BBQ shrimp is delicious. Bison linguine was excellent. Large portion and very rich. Didn’t even have room for dessert! Chicken and dumplings were excellent. It took me forever to order because everything on the menu looked good. Order the bread service. Yummy.
